hey dude yeah cape town deffinately-its nice and all, but im going to be fair with u dude, dont have too honey coated pics of sa, even tho cape town is like the least crime effected area of sa, there still is ALOT of killings and hijackings ect just thought i should tell you this to be safe. but then again i havent been back to ct for 2 years!!!!!!(knowing the anc tho, i doubt that in 2yrs things have actually gotten better lol!) |

definitely.
cape town isn't the utopia it's sometimes pictured out to be...
There is still very high instances of crime and poverty....
The city bowl and certain parts of cape town are very much isolated from the rest of cape town ....like the cape flats, townships.. etc...etc....
People's mindsets are changing, but the demographics in relation to people's incomes, lifestyles and the places where people have to live haven't budged much..... unfortunately.
such a shame actually... but that's just the way i look at things...

I'm with ApsyDrop, the more things change the more they stay the same (in some ways). As much as I love Cape Town, its really hasn't changed much, unlike smelly crazy Joburg  But for geographic beauty and really cool people you can't beat the city bowl!

OK friends,
I knew that S.A is known to be a little bit dangerous and I also knew that Cape is the safest place in S.A.
So can you guys tell me if any of you who lived all your life in Cape if anything bad ever happened to you?
I mean attacked,hijacked,raped etc....!
As regarding povert I have no problem what so ever with that! |

my friend got hijacked with a gun, beaten the shit outta him in a taxi and then they threw him out on the highway half dead. he said there were a couple of black children in the car whom they were teaching how to properly fuck up whiteys... saturday a woman got raped dead opposite my house.
i don't wana scare anyone off, but it is quite hectic at times. you learn to deal with this situation though as its all quite common... |
