hey everyone..
me and a few psyheads are planning on coming to germany around next year..we still are at the initial stages of deciding where to stay and stuff like that we want it to be in such a way that we are in the middle of all the action(the parties and festivals) as well as a city with somewhat decent universities to study in too. so would really appriciate if u ppl would be kind enough in assisting us to which city we should choose...

Hey EYB, I love the "Pott" as well, I am originally from Bottrop.
Still I think considering what Shaqattack was asking for, I would recommend either Hamburg or Berlin.
Most of the festivals are somewhere between these two cities and they both have decent Universities to study at and lot´s of cultural and other stuff happening.

forget cities. in germany, even cities with over 1mio. inhabitants feel small and rural...
all swiss cities, even though they are pretty small (geneva, lausanne, zürich, basel etc.) they are much more metropolitan/ international etc.
so, if you want to come to germany for your studies i highly recommend you to come to the southwest
- not southeast - strict cannabis laws etc ;-)
the famous schwarzwald (blackforest) region is very beautiful, and you have decent universities there, too (freiburg, heidelberg, tübingen...)
and you have the french and swiss border very near! |

Depends on what you want to study...
Heidelberg is very famous for natural and medicine sciences, Hamburg is a good choice for art and design-faculties and I think for business-related stuff you have to go to munich. But if you just wanna make some party, go to berlin, because you can reach the big summer-open airs which lay all around berlin, quikly. |

check out marburg a nice little town but many students and also a nice full on scene.for example on dez18th with sirius isness.
ou can arrive nearly any bigger town in germany or switzerland by 3-4 hours cause its in the center of germany.
but berlin i could recommend too |
