One time in Jutland and one time for the people in Copenhagen.
Sure, it's not that innovative by the organizers, but we've also seen it with a bunch of other artists like Son Kite, Haldolium and Bitmonx (4 times live in Denmark last year alone).
Just give the crowd what they want ... there's a lot of other parties, and I bet we would hear even more complaining if they didn't play in Denmark this year

well bigger artists like IM, Son Kite, Bitmonx = danish people wants to hear that music because it's so damn popular and fair enough, but seriously we need some new artist to visit Denmark in my opinion... Maybe some of all the old school artist like Miranda fx.... and so on!
  Time changes everything,
But nothing beats the old
days... Our place of rest at the parties are gone, the sociaty is dead her in DK, help us good dammit!! |

Well there is a lot of bad-posts about Israel music at the moment, but why O why ? I like israeli music, but I also like the variated party where you have prog, psy, minimal and full on = all put in one.
Byt Takaya, I strongly disargree with your opinion about the danish scene, I don't think it's boring it's just started a evolution in my opinion because way back our scene was fx all minimal = that made people complaining and now it's full on that has taking over the scene and people are still complaining about the scene of Denmark.... Well if there are so much to complain about, then start up a new project like "make the parties yourself"... Make your variated parties, I'm with you but it is going be hard process..... But fx here in Denmark there is still labels who a trying to make a different like Peace Center Corp or Audiobahn Recs... they are making variated parties in my opinion....

First of all. you have every right to disagree and i don't expect everybody in denmark to agree with me.
Second of all. "make your own party" blablabla!!! I am not an organizer. They choosed to make party's NOT ME.
And people will always find something to complain about. BUT when Bastionen was there i did'nt ever complaine. And loved that time. Every party was so fucking excellent. Deco's, karma, the people, the music... Kick ass party's. I guess i just want that back.
And the thing is i am just sad our scene is so small and the organizers are affraid to take chances with live act's theres not as famous as infect and astral. WORDS FROM THEIR OWN MOUTH'S..
But cool you have you'r appinion, i have mine and someone named Boomambino is India has his..
peace
Love you'r music and Respect you'r artists! |

How long ago is way back to you. 3-4 years ?
Way way back the Danish scene was very variated.... Then Goa came along and the scene became quite one way directed but still quite fresh. Then progressive an minimal was dominant for a while and the last 2 years or so it's been quite interesting and frankly just as variated as the real old days where everyone couldn't care less what the style was called.
I am just a bit worried that the quality of the parties will hit rock bottom soon because it's too eays to put some cloned full on supermarket artists on the line up so the music goes 145 and 4/4 all the way with a synth playing a simple melody .... A sure way to attract 2000 kids on steroids = money money money.
I have oragnised tons of parties in Denmark but dont even bother anymore simply because there's no way I will be able to compete with the endless full on parties here (anyway organsiers dont even talk together anymore and will easily have no poblem in making parties at the same date as you do = loss of audience)...
The fact is that people are getting barinwashed by organisers going for the BIG gold no matter what the consequences are.
I'll in the future enjoy the small underground parties in Sweden and give the finger to the boring parties in Denmark
I don't call it evolution. The evolution stopped a long time ago in our scene.

well i think it's really funny that with all the great artists u have there u book all this IM and i dont wanna mention other stuff...
u have tones of great intersting stuff...(beat bizzare, all iboga crew, vibrashpere, son kite, frugacult, and so on and on) why party organisers book this boring artists?
and btw when u say the danish scene is small..how much is small for u? can u pls tell me how many ppl are normally attending parties in denmark?
(and btw im from israel and i will not go to any party with IM even if it's for free.)
this is just makes me think that every country wanna hear music that she don't have. is that true u think?
let's take a walk on the proogy side |

You are over exaggerating, there are many varied parties in Denmark, where they play as I, and a some others prefer, a lot of different styles, be they; Full-on, progressive, chillout, Psychedelic, morning progressive, and so on... Furthermore there are still in Denmark pure progressive parties and pure full-on parties, both sides are almost equally represented now days… I actually believe that our scene in Denmark is very mixed and some times even interesting. If you are looking for true underground-parties in forests and such; quite frankly the summer is only just now showing us some of its true colors , there will surely be several ultra-underground parties this summer (and as I said to you Kristian (EP) we are also planning to throw an outdoors arrangement in the summer).
But as we discussed in the other thread I do understand why you are upset about the “general” situation of some of the scene.

Planet-Zhohar (JUST for you my friend ):
Believe me there is plenty of progressive in Denmark.
The Danish scene is small in comparison with the Israeli scene. Even though some won't admit it, but trance is only a small sub-culture in Denmark.
Why the names you listed aren’t playing at the gig? It’s because we see them live so many times a year that it gets boring.
Party-organizers book infected because it's always a “quality-show” they deliver, and huge amount of people love infected. If you hate them or love them is irrelevant, the fact is that they have in Denmark touched a much larger audience then 99.8% of other trance bands. When I’m at a strangers house the only psy album he would have, if he even had one, which is very doubtful, would be a infected (maybe astral) album.

Hey, at least you DO have Infected Mushroom visiting. I personally can't even remember the last time they were in Holland
That goes for many trance names and styles in Holland, few exceptions. We get FAR too little progressive over here. It's either full on underground parties with mainly incrowd DJ's living in Holland or it's ultralarge trance-events (ID&T Tiesto style)
If I look at the TranceTunnel Festlisten I just get jealous. You have much more interesting lineups when it comes to trance lives, but I guess it helps that there is a lot of good trance being produced in Scandinavia.
Bu then, when I look at the pictures and when I look at the crowd at Hallucinogen live in Copehagen, I sort of get what you mean. Candyravers and steroid pumpers all over the place
