Dear God... And to think there were people who said that it was disrespectful to throw eggs and tomatoes at IM. Pfff... I would throw a brick for being disrespectful to me and my ears - the vocal is like a sonic rape to say the least. Face it - the guy can't sing! Traveller: you hit the nail on the head with the Arnold comment.

couldnt NOT agree more
their old style was 10 levels above the rest that were released
they had their own style
and their music is still something im amazed from evry time
their new stuff are just MTV level and its totally ok from my side
as long as their music styays very musical and not full of only effects anf stuff like most of the music today.

Well anyways I disgree with both of you
Infected didn't do full on back in the days and there was no one who did anything similar to them. There isn't anything similar to them these days either.
What goes doing what they like. I think they like money and want to be famous and that's why they're doing this awful shit these days. Or well what exactly is Duvdev doing other than Arnold imitation?
What goes for Infected being better than the rest. That was never the case. Granted their music used to be very good and catchy (that's why I bitch about their recent stuff) but it was never even near to artists like say Posford and Juno Reactor for example. This is of course all about personal taste.
Now if you ask me their new music certainly isn't up there in the "MTV level". I don't think even teenagers like Arnold imitators that much
Infected Mushroom sold out. Look at Juno Reactor. I bet they're getting 1000 x more money than Infected but they never compromised their music like Infected did. "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

on one level i have a lot of respect for them because they are always coming up with something new. each album is different. its better than the reguritated psy where every song is more or less the same old crap.
they were psy gods after their first few albums, they couldve just rested on their laurels, but they chose to keep changing and evolving at the risk of losing fans and facing a lot of criticism. |

Someone should take singing lessons or shut up. That singing is just about as pleasant as going to dentist. Why in the world they have to make a joke of themselves? Ok, fair enough, doesn't really ruin my day, but it ruins their music big time. If they try to make it to MTV they need to find a new singer. |

People should start to realise that psytrance is about instrumental music, with chants of course, that hypnotise you and not some wannabe MTV stars standing on a stage singing or in this case sounding like a stray cat.
But as long as promoters and people keep idiolising bands and artists such as IM our scene keep going more and more away from what psytrance is all about. |
