I have no problem actually. It is even not really my business. But somehow it is generally felt that ppl tend to go easy into sarcastic remarks when artists go and do something "cheap" just to make some side income. I find it difficult to understand what ppl find so offensive or bad in it.
Your remarks were of this kind.

i think any music is art and shouldn't sellout, atleast brazenly...look, there are still so many rockbands who zealously guard their stuff from being used in ads and other commercial ventures coz they respect their work just as we adore them for it...from that POV i disagree with IMs move
other than that, making ringtones is like a celebrated poet suddenly writing 160 character sms poetry...new medium for sure, but also a little humiliating
but then I think IM are not the same people we'd like to know, so why bother
helping apple pies take over the world since Damion predicted so

Why do we care? Infected was good back in 2000 or something.. it's been over half a decade since they released anything good. Now they're just after money like the rest of mtv gang. Who cares! There is a ton good psy around, far better what Infected ever did..

Because "psy" is not a genre for money making.
In fact, it's about the opisite.
But things are changing. Money is infecting this scene as well as the whole world.

I just consider IM as an electronic artist and not as a psy artist.......by doing ringtones and stuff they are adding to what we call as commercial stuff... but then its their wish, right? so no hassles....
