Are you serious? Are you saying this because of Erez involvement with Shidapu? 1998 was their debut album, The Gathering.
Transwave, Prana, Infinity Project, Total Eclipse, Astral Projection, Doof, Har-ell, Hallucinogen, Etnica, KODE IV and so on came before them. Sure they had a few singles released like "Overload" before their album but to say their the "Bun" holds no nutritional value without the ingredients. There is nothing wrong with thinking outside the bun.
They do have a brilliant sound and are great live, considered to be psytrance at a commercial level. Introductory level when attempting to turn people on lightly to the scene. Also a great source of revenue, they have a following. Its great to see Florida getting down.

No no not what I am saying at all.
In fact, what I am saying is that in reference to the term "bun" as it was used usually implies "the norm" or what is considered standard. When they say "Think outside the bun" or whatever, they mean think outside of the normal range of what you would consider.
And in reference to this, Infected Mushroom IS the most commercialized and well known (originally) psytrance act around. Many people who lack virtually any knowledge on the genre of Psytrance are Infected Mushroom fans (especially here in the USA); simply because they get shoved in our face at every big festival.
I have nothing but respect for those guys. They're great musicians, and they are ALWAYS pushing the boundaries musically and technically with all of their productions.
However, they ARE the "BUN" in the case that they are the standard/most known "psy" act around.
And my other comments were in regard to the fact that their modern productions (while still excellent) are not exactly what I would call "PSYTRANCE" these days. But on the other hand, this is a genre that is constantly changing. I prefer to classify them as Psy Rock Electronica. I love some of their old trance productions.

I'll definatly be wathcing IM at Ultra, maby even the afterparty. We will probably go to the Official "Carry On" afterparty at American Airlines Arena though, unless the lineup sucks. I have to escape the happy house somehow! I'm also a guitar nut so I enjoy the solos.

LOL, I do have to admit that seeing a Fruit By The Foot Arena would have given me a much different reaction

No but seriously, IM used to kick ass. I saw them a couple summers ago, and it was still kinda cool. It was cool to see them with a drummer, but they've certainly fallen off. I've always been one for the underground sounds, so farewell IM.
