You think this is horible? Try Yahel Super set Tzvaiiiii…I had to listen to it…no an easy thing to do.
But the new Sub 6 ep is gr8 - although is commercial to but the music is very good!

i think that those who didn't listen to the "old IM" won't understand why is the new stuff is bad (in my opinion and others..)
but like someone said before me.. psychedelic or not, everybody decides for their self.
maybe i don't listen to their new stuff but i respect them for their old stuff.. and for that that they admit that they don't make psychedelic music any more (as 'goa-ganges' said)
not like some other artists..

I think those who discovered "psy" trance via IM and did not listent to Israeli trance (and trance from other countries at that time) before IM don't really understand that IM is nothing special when it come to the sounds and buildups they used. It was done long before them by Astral, MFG, Sandman, Indoor etc. and as I have said before they are not that groundbreaking. In order to be groundbreaking you need to do something new. All they did was copy what came before them. The real difference was that they had a label that was willing to use a lot's of money on promotion. Something new at that time and today But that credit have to go to the label and not IM.

Same old discussion, I see.
The summary is thus:
Infected put out three of the best Trance albums ever. Then they did CV, which, while being highly-praised at the time for the Other side, actually kinda sucked. Then they took all the bad parts of CV - Other and amplified them for ITS, though ITS still has 4 or 5 extremely good tracks (Bombat is really vintage IM). Now it sounds like they're continuing the cycle with their much-delayed new album. We all know they can produce at the highest level of banging Psy, but they've chosen to ride the commercial train.
Really, who cares? IM gave us several albums and assorted singles that are basically as good as Psy gets, and now they suck. I don't like Nine Inch Nails stuff now, but the old tracks will rule forever. There's so much other music out that I don't need new IM/NIN/whatever.
I was let down twice by IM live acts in the past few years, and that was enough for me to move on. "I'm playing the gaaaame!" |

with so many litle human beings running on this planet you will always find someone to listen to any music project even if the creation is horrible...it is a long time infected lives on its reputation...maybe they create what they find fun to create....but it is so many years I did not listenned anything good coming from them !!!!

Even thoe, and even that I am not a big fan of them, they still having the most popular live shows in the world.
And even you don't like their new stuff they deserve some respect for been a musicians, and for keep promoting the scene and keep it alive.
BTW, it is always nicer to read criticism when it is written respectfuly.

i think the issue or point here is this:
How awesome would it be if IM made real psy trance with their skill these days, thats the point/....they could be mindblowing but instead they choose to be inferior because it is easier and pays more
so thats the basic synopsis
also for all those of you who say we dont have the right to criticise them...
of course we do,as long as it is about their music you can say anything you like
to be honest... IM amuse me, we all say how they have turned away from us and blah blah
but you should think about it this way (and this is a damaging thing to say)... they probably dont have anymore skill or creativity to write real psy anymore... they hit a plateu and then yeah... maybe it was too hard for them, but pop dance was easy, so up the production skillz and write crap...its not a bad idea, especially when it means doubling your fans
i have alot of respect for their skills and alot of their work, but at this point their are a few issues
best is, they got famous from psy, yet now they carry the same name to a different style, crowd and music...
if they arent going to make psy, then they shouldnt be called psy artists and we should refrain from discussing them here
also everyone harps on about how they have evolved and going forward hencing leaving psy behind... yeah right...sonically, they still sound the same, yes better production , but their sound pallete and canvas has become limited to the new music they choose to make
lastly we can all agree that duvdev is a fucking embarrassment with his singing, he cant sing, he sounds awful and he is living out his punk band dreams (where he wasnt successful) and using the dance scene and psy scene/....you know.....zziiiss is the ttiiim to take whats miiiiiiine
yep he is definitely taking it
i think erez should hook up with simon and then there would be real psychedelic fire works
