No, no... This in no way!
Is always good to hear contrary opinions as long as they make sense.

You raised the issue about underground and the characteristics of a "collective at all" in the given example (Los Angeles). And probably is true!!
I understand this very well.

But you must understand too, that people can choose, and doesn`t mean we don`t also like a scene more Underground.

For example I really like Trance but I also like other genres of music.
That does not make me a fool... I think not!!

I never liked infected mushroom, I mean some of their old stuff was not too bad, but I never got into their music.
This review made me go and hear clips of their new tunes on youtube. I did not like anything I heard. Any side I looked at this, pop, trance, psy-trance, metal (lol), I was left as apathetic as I was before I put some music on to listen to.
I was never a fan of IM so whatever they are doing nowdays leaves me as cold about their music as it did in the '90s. A lot of people dig their stuff and that is fair enough.

But what I was extremely sorry to see, was Jonathan Davis doing the vocals for that smashing the opponent tune. I mean we are all (supposed to be) PLUR in the trance scene and will defend everybody's right to make shite should they choose to, but...what the hell was he thinking?

True, and considering that Dubfire must be considered as quality artist and the other House name ( I forgot who was mentioned, but definitely one I would like to see performing ) - so considered both of them super big names and quality ones, somehow all the crowd was found dancing to the shitty band. How inconceivable....

And again and again and again - IM is not my piece of cake.. I just sick and tired from all the bullshit I read here. Worthless and bitter slagging just cuz it cool, and unfortunately some artists join the fun too But hey, nothing new under the sun - small people rejoice!           http://perfectlystrange.com

Totally wrong, unless you tell me you'd wait till just before Infected get on stage to drop that strong acid, which would make no sense from my point of view.

Also I'd bet that these 20 bored Isratrancers bought more original CDs that the other 40.000 people in that Festival. My point being that people who actually put money into buying music tend to really love it, while people who attend to a Festival these days mostly wanna have fun.

So yeah, I'd rather be in a small party with those 20 bored Isratrancers with pretty irrelevant opinions (in your opinion) than in a 40.000 people Festival.

This is a free and open space, so everyone is welcomed to give their opinions as long as we respect each other. Without respect (and tolerance) there is no place for Peace, Love or Union.

heh the Brazilian front woken up...

Those 10 - 20 Isratrance users talk alot about buying CD's but I bet my old hat most of them download music like there is no tomorrow. In fact the sad truth is that the screaming teenage girls that usually occupy the first rows of Infected shows, are buying those CD's and all the bright headed and open and respectful Isratrance users ( and Moderators too ) just mostly talk about it.

Mind you not ALL.. I know full_on, you buy CD's heh, so don't take it personally.. I know you also didn't write here the hateful comments too. So protecting those ppl that did, is a very gentleman gesture ( you can always BAN me btw - I asked Shivas and Shahar to do it to my other user but all they did is put a "retire" sign next to it, I wouldn't mind to get banned with this user too ) but you ARE protecting people that do exactly the opposite from all your post. They disrespect, and most of the times even without listening!

The worst part of it, they do it cuz it's cool hehehe, and that is super pathetic.

And mr. John Doe

I know Infected for more than a decade, and no, I am not their friend, and not in touch with them since we make completely different music, and hold different opinions about art - pop vs underground etc.

You probably missed those 5 posts of mine here that I claimed that I personally don't like their music ( possibly you seen it but you preferred being smart ass and "show" me something ), so just for you, hopefully you notice this one time I will say it again:

I ( Yuli, Perfect Stranger ) don't really like Infected music style and direction. I never been one of their fans in fact. On the other hand I think they hold great talent, that can be seen on those few songs of theirs I like to hear, and their qualities as sound producers are second probably to none @ psy scene, and by far.

What annoys me about this topic is 2 things:

1. The band doing something else today and obvious successful, so why oh why, the good souls of Isratrance ( those 10 - 20 yeah ) still look for blood here on those 8 pathetic pages?

2. Out of all the posts here very few actually heard the record, and just wrote cuz they presume it's shit. WHY? don't you agree it's pathetic too? Aren't there enough shitty Psy Trance / Progressive Trance releases to talk about, so maybe they get better?

That was my last message on this topic, because it seems to me mr John Doe doesn't like me to write here.

So I will finish by saying - BAN me bro!! I am waiting           http://perfectlystrange.com

If the people on here really download music like there's no tomorrow, they would have also downloaded this and actually heard it. So their views do have merit.
But if they did download this LP and did not even bother to listen to it, then they obviously would not have bought the original CD either.

You'd be surprised how many teenage girls download music for free in order to save up their allowance for clothes, doing their nails...etc.
But what I really wanna come down to, is this...

You've been in the scene for ages, been a member of this forum long enough and traveled lots, why do you care about what 10-20 other members who like to hate on others people's music, will say about IM's new album? You know that it don't fall right when bands that used to be a part of a subculture, go commercial.
You see it as pathetic and closed minded, they see the hating as away of defending the subculture by detaching what ever band went commercial, from that subculture.
What these 10-20 member will say is completely irrelevant and will obviously have no impact on IM's sales and success in the commercial realm.
I grew up in this scene, a scene where drugs, dodgy people and generally people that swear, are a big part of it. What gets on my tits is that someone is pathetic if s/he says "its shit".
For fucks sake trancers don't rush from saturday's night parties to go to sunday school. Trancers are generally not very well mannered. That does not make them evil, or that they like to hate mind you. Trancers just like to swear sometimes and for me after listening to this LP, the word shit, is what came to my mind straight after.
That does not make me pathetic, Its not making me a hater.
I am not very well mannered, but I am not going to answer to any one in a small trance forum, for saying a release is shit.

People need to ease up on the pretentiousness around here. I mean pages and pages of dribble just because some people think IM's new album is shit?
Seriously, kindly... fuck off!

Just let it go mate, its not worth the time nor the energy.

Peace out.
