Well, I have listened to it once through, and the problem I have with it is that it sounds like a caricature of the different kinds of music they try to fuse in their melting pot. Everything is so overproduced and overemphasized, it`s like those caricatures where every person has a huge head and every smile is so big and distorted that it looks like a tortured mask.

And the incredible production quality is probably the albums biggest deterrent. On the surface it sounds perfect, but it does not have any soul underneath. Just like huge silicone titties, these tracks appear firm and tight from afar, but if you touch them they are stiff and lifeless and feel like cold stones in your hands

Having lived there myself for 4 years, I can tell that this album is directly influenced by the city of Los Angeles. Loud, fake, colourful, PLAfSTIC, shiny-on-the-surface, but also lacking any soul, historic perspective, depth, feeling and emotions.

I didn't hear Shawarma, but I think what you wrote there is true for all IM albums. In my opinion, they have sounded rather sterile and plasticy from the start.

After all this reading, there's only one conclusion left for me to make:

Still sounds like crap...

listened to the album ~10 times through when it came out hoping that it would dawn on me, that I would come to appreciate it more...

nope. shitty. infected is corrupted by money, greed, and bad guitar.

This coming from someone who religiously listened to/admired IM as an equal to Simon Posford up until ~2 years ago. How wrong I was.

IMHO this album has nothing to do with psy trance.

I like The gathering, BP empire, LOGTBS. Hands up! ... also some tracks on supervisor.

Everything post B.P. Empire has been bad.
What a waste of time giving The legend of the black sharmashas a chance. The only good thing that has come out of it was the "Hitler really hates the new Infected Mushroom" video! So funny I cried Don't agree with Hitlers comment about darkpsy though.

I still have some respect left for IM (or should I say Erez) after all.
