i saw some clips on youtube the other day, they did liveact with all the old stuff.. man that is really killer if they would start doin that beside their "other" infected mushroom project hehe. wouldnt mind at all to hear they play all the good stuff in a liveset with new cool remixes and shit. Mayby they've been doing this for a while but im not that updated. It was in japan btw

now thats an idea... IM retro set... i'll be there... but thats one unlikely proposition
meanwhile they will still be considered "the biggest" trance act in the world while no self respecting dj will be caught dead with an IM cd in his case (maybe the Gathering and Classical...) and its been like 5 years since i heared an IM track played in a party... how strange is that?

actually the tokyo set was a retro set and they playd stuff like "gravity waves" "psycho" "the fly" and more names that just old fans knows
beside that, u cant take the gift of those 2 guys.. if its trance/rock/hipHop/ambient etc. they are on the top of the electronic music these dayz, most of their music now is cool trance with lyrics and guitar riffs, not and not suppose to be any connection to psychedelic

I can foresee 8 pages already about this topic, maybe less or more?

Fuggin' ROFLOL
Jonathan Davis does scorching vocals?
He wasn't happy enough making a mockery of the heavy metal scene and paving the way fro crap like Slipknot so now he has moved into "psytrance" and is paving the way for Infected Mushroom clones.
Will it be call "Nu Trance" like "Nu Metal"?
This made my day, haven;t laughed so hard... cannot wait to piss myself laughing even harder whe I heard Davis' crap vocals next to Duvdev's "pro" vocals!!!
Can this get any more tragic??
ROFLOL again!

ive never add a comment in IM topic..so here is the first:
i have respect to IM as a producer,i think they have amazing sound and lets be honest nobody can argu with their seccsess.
however(and here comes the but)i just dont see the psy part nor the trance.
ok,so IM have created their own style which is "trance" metal, lead singing(the wickest link i must say..)and even colaborations with big names like korn and janes addiction..its nice and again i can respect that..but its not trance and defenitly not psy!!
its about time people will start to call IM what they really are-METAL BAND. and im sure duvdev wouldnt mind at all.
and whats this??whats psy about that??http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XjxFqy9Qmw

Mate go have a look at the clips I put in the "what's new in metal"? threas in the music section and grow the hell up.
You just insulted millions of metal fans by saying Infected is anything close to metal!!
If someone said that to me in person I'd kick their head in!

hehe whatever mr.monkey..sorry for insulting your supirior taste..
lighten up..i didnt say IM is a good metal band.but thats what they do..not cool trance like people mentioned here..its electronic metal\pop music.
by the way..im an old school metal fan..for me its insulting that todays metal fans say bands like linkin park are a heavy metal band..or marilin manson..or slipknot..or system of a down..
but you know it all allready dont you?so i cant teach you nothing about metal nor trance. |

Oh I'm always open to new stuff but having been a part of themetal scene for 20 years now it's hard for me to find out new, I have lots of contacts from thebig and small labels who keep me up to date.
I don't mind some new stuff like Deathcore etc. and I don't even really hate Linkin Park, they made metal popular again after the decade of grunge almost killed it and they're not arrogant f#cks about it like Korn et al.
anyway completely off topic here so will goooooo.

Kicking someone's head in while carrying a Buddha reference in one's name (over some personal musical opinions, at that) would be an insult to Buddha, if you ask me.

That's still no justification for kicking someone's head in over an opinionated statement about music.
Either that, or "I'd kick their head in" is a euphemism for "I'm talking out of my ass."
Still, though, back to topic... Personally I don't like the direction IM's music has taken, and I feel like even though their music evolved from psy-trance, it doesn't represent the direction psy-trance has taken since then. I will say though, that they deserve to go in the direction they want to with their music. This direction is something they've wanted to do for a very long time, as evidenced in this interview I was fortunate enough to do with them a few years ago, and if they're achiving their desired direction, and people want to listen to it, more power to them...
http://infectedmushroom.tribe.net/thread/8d5eda50-07d9-446d-b0e1-16d3590f382d
... having had spent this time with them, I have to say that although my personal musical tastes differ from their productions, they were very down to earth guys who seemed very humble and approachable and humble despite their fame and notoriety (although it was quite strange riding between the two of them to their hotel for the interview after their show in a brand new Hummer with an Israeli driver who kind of looked like a hit man) and I think what they had to say could be positive lessons for a lot of people interested in producing their music. It was interesting to learn that they stole their name from an Israeli punk/metal band, though.
One thing, however, that struck me as odd is what they told me about people dropping video games and focusing on music production instead, and unless I'm mistaken, now they are making a few tracks for video games. Oh well, to each his own. I like video games, too.

Shawarma (Arabic: شاورما‎), also spelled Chawarma, Schawarma, Shawirma, Shwarma, Shuarma, Shawerma, Shoarma, Schwarma, Shoermeh, Siaorma, or Shaorma, is a Middle Eastern Arabic-style sandwich-like wrap usually composed of shaved lamb, goat, chicken, turkey, beef, or a halal mixture of meats. Shawarma is a popular dish and fast-food staple across the Middle East and North Africa; it has also become popular worldwide.
