Infected Mushroom is moving to LA

My friend just alerted me to the fact that quite possibly the most well known worldwide trance act is making LA their permanent home (as posted on thier web page). They say they will have a studio established come January. What does this mean for the scene in LA? What does this mean for trance in America? What does this mean to the future of Infected Mushroom?
My Answer: Probably not a whole lot. Infected isn't even really psytrance anymore anyways. But we can always hope and remember the good old days... |

Who knows, they are probably hungry for money, but their last album wasnt TOO BAD, i mean there were a couple tracks i really liked. I think them moving to LA will have a positive effect on the Psy scene here because they are well known for their older stuff more so then newer stuff here by many of my friends. I think this could cause a chain reaction overtime and maybe psytrance acts will start to surface, i mean afterall i have heard that Hallucinogen and other artists are already being featured in the PS2 game Gran Turismo 4 which 3 was one of the highest ranked games for so long. Maybe this will bring more exposure. I am excited to see what happens  |

Damn. I dont care about the exposure. Just hopefully I would get the chance to meet them and give them one of my demos. I would love to work on a track with them and learn some techniques. |

runaway, im not sure thats the most realistic mindset.
i wonder if they are looking to get into more movie soundtrack stuff? I remember reading an old interview where they said they mostly listen to soundtracks and would like to get into it someday. |

I don't think they're moving here to promote parties.......They may have bigger ideas in mind....Besides what's wrong with our scene now? We have Sun Project this weekend and Polaris/Chromatone (spelling?) for New Years. assumption is the mother of all fuckups. |
