Who likes infected mushroom, and who hates them?
Answer by replying to this post, preferably with reasons...
Personally, I hate them. I think their old stuff is still up there with the best of trance, but seeing them live in recent times always seems to be a letdown. One tune will be a classic and everyone loves it. The next will be one of their new tracks, with the guitarist showboating on stage, playing guitar with his teeth and the whole preformance smacking of oversized egos. I'd personally prefer to listen to their CDs on a big soudsystem!

Good... Infected Mushroom don't have nothing to be bad. Nice people, eternal music - I don't see nothing sinful in being Infected Mushroom. It's your turn now to be psychedelic - they just do music. And do it best way

IM is kind of burned out these days.....same for gms and etc......although full respect to them!!!! I cant deny their influences in almost anybody of who has listened to psymusic at some moment. |

for a while, I was kind of down on them for the new stuff. However, they seem to really enjoy what they're doing. I've seen a few live clips of more recent shows, and they still rock the floor. Maybe they aren't confined to the psytrance rulebook anymore, but they are amazingly talented musicians....... and I would consider some of the newer stuff still more psy than people like GMS.
Also, I grew up listening to Dream Theater, so I appreciate the influence in the Infected sound. |

you cannot NOT respect infected mushroom.
those are dudes that worked their asses off to get where they are today.
i really like their music too.
sure, The Gathering and Classical Mushroom are great psy albums, but so is their newer stuff. (at least in my opinion, i really like the mix of vocals in a 4/4 song)
but this is truly a matter of taste.
all in all, great great music.
and their live act, is actually live, unlike many other musicians.
and the two really have musical capabilities, they dont just bash some notes and effects and call it a day, its all pretty hard worked.
(and i agree with the above post, IM is still much more psy then stuff like GMS.) Love is Life
