After years in the making there is a good chance Infected Mushroom will be performing Live in Dallas very soon!!! Who are the best psy djs from Dallas or the surrounding cities?(PM me with contact info) How strong is the psytrance community in Texas? This is going to be an amazing show! Should have confirmation tomorrow. |

I'm sure that folks will be along shortly to rep themselves, but I can vouch for there being a very healthy but fairly small and underground psy scene in Texas. I'm not sure how many of the people that make up that scene are going to flock to a club party (I'm assuming) with Infected Mushroom in Dallas, though.
Anyway, if you want to get in touch quickly with pretty much all the active dj's on the Texas scene you should post a request here: http://tribes.tribe.net/sgoa
Off the top of my head, some local folks whose styles I think would fit in a lineup with Infected:
Sylph
Eckoe
Wizard of Ozra
Dr. No
Gift Culture/Initialization String |

Ah, that was my first psytrance party. Indeed, Trees was packed...Initialization String performed first at that party. While it was definitely a different crowd from the Shiva Shakti parties, there was also definite overlap.

This is only suggestion, and everything is totally up to the people setting up the party, but have you guys every thought about bringing someone who's not infected mushroom. That would be pretty cool. |

I dunno, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't make it but if you were trying to put together something that would bring out a big crowd in Dallas I think Infected would be your best bet on name recognition alone.
As Mark pointed out, at the very least it would put a lot of people in the same place that would be potentially interested in but not aware of the Shiva Shakti type parties and therefore be healthy for the scene.
Good luck! |

I think it's a great idea Trancecowboy ! You should definitely consider doing it outdoors though or possibly in Austin? An event like this could kickstart the scene around here ! |

When IM were performing in Trees few years ago, the place was PACKED. My conservative estimate is that there were about 350 ppl...nothing I've seen before or after this show. (not that I had a chance to come to every event, but I think this one had well above average attendace). Hope this helps.
