Random Records is a non-profit label created exclusively to help projects supporting indigenous communities around the world. There are, today, over 300 million people, including at least 5000 distinct indigenous tribes in 72 countries that live under conditions of oppression and forced cultural assimilation. These people have historically been excluded from the decision-making processes of the modern states that have been formed in their ancestral lands and they live marginalized by the modern societies. Many have been targeted by paramilitary guerilla groups that serve policies of profit with total disrespect to human rights and dignity. The grievances and interests of indigenous people can be very similar around the globe when it comes to the struggle for preservation of their identity, cultural heritage natural way of life.

Great concept and awesome artists on it, now looks like http://www.indigenous-sos.com/ is working but the music link is not working at the moment, but yeeah I checked in beatspace and everything sounded really tasty.
Fav. that Moreno and Colin are involved too!

Hi,
Sorry to interfer here but i think this is the best topic for speaking of this man. If interested to protect indigenous communities, traditions & their interests by another action feel free to donate here:

This guy really needs to be protected from this shitty system too. For possession of his traditional medicine Ayahuasca he's now being charged as a federal criminal and is facing up to 20 years in federal prison...Nice world.

I think is not bad to use this topic for promote other cause, but please to say "the best topic" or the best man or the best...blablabla is not right I think,as this is not a competition. We should just respect and try to support every single right cause to help others who needs.And indigenous are suffering everywhere in the world and they need just to be living in freedom and armony with mother nature...
By the way, if you get the Cds of Indigenous SOS you will see the label is supporting a comunity of shamans as well who practice Ayahusca rituals in the Colombian Amazon, and they scaped from the guerrilla and paramilitary war there.
So just I wanted to say this and my congratulations and full support to all the artists, people involved in this project. I just got the cd and is simply awesome. Incredible artwork and music concept in it by the way.
