Ok I'll start by saying that I dont have a clue musically about scales, but I know that there are different scales for eastern music. I love a track by Adham Shaikh called Ohm, in which there is a vocal used that is in an indian scale. I would like to tune some of my strings (in cubase) to this scale, does anyone know a way to do this? Im really looking for a website that has the different notes played so I can do it by ear, or is there a simpler way?
Does anyone else here use indian scales and if so then share your experiences! |

It's not easy to play totally authentic scales with the western tuning.

I think it's extremely difficult.
Once I tried some of the other tunings which you can choose in Albino and Z3ta and I found out, that I wasn't able to play anything reasonable.
It's very weird, because our midi keyboard just won't match the with notes which you're trying to play. |
