a lot of this can even be linked to negative publicity. Publicity of any form is good for these reality shows and adds on to their heavy PR budgets.
But anyone who has ever read midday knows that it is a newspaper that you would want to read to kill time between churchgate and andheri - and not anything to be taken seriously. Its is a tabloid - full on masala! infact a lot of channels also focus on such shitty news now a days... take for instance - abhishek bachan and aishvarya went to sidhivinayak temple or a cat stuck on some celebs roof. i have even seen a few news channels showing what the fuck is happening in these reality shows and saans bahu serials. you just cant help it - its basically filling up time slots and building content for the channel. thats all. pathetic indeed!

please understand.. we being such a conservative society dont really have any earth shattering news for th press.. so any event if found illegal or questionable instantly becomes "hot news".. its a change from th daily charges of corruption or the gloom about the markets and economic situation.. or the tabloids.. we need 2 create more awareness about alternative journalism here so tht journos can fill their slots with interesting information related to diverse topics rather than just copy pasting each others reports with worse spellings thanthe other.. omfg wht am i saying??.. alternative jornalism?? here in india??.. MASALA sells b1tches deal with it...
