@aluxe : i think u have a massive ego complex : i dont have to defend myself to prove anything to you , its not that it was because of me the indain section was closed down, but as an indain i'll take the responsibility , as already said, it is closed down because of all the new overexcited kids, and about india being the source, you dont have the brain capacity to actually deduct what i'm trying to say :
i anit gonna point any fingers,nor am i gonna call u names or anything, but dont take the kindness for the weakness bro, the whole scene started in india cause it was meant to start here, thats it , not your country nor any other , so if you say something like>>our<< beloved psyscene , let me tell u 1 thing , there would be no>>psyscene<< if india was'nt there, cause it took many things to combine together to let the psyscene take off and the main reason is india not indians but india, so pls be respectfull, or atleast a little tollernt, ppl like you infuse the bullshit in the society,

Though I didn't really know all that happened I very much agree with Yidam, and is partly what I was trying to say.
Yeah how can you say that the Indians failed in Isratrance when they represent such a VAST country with such a huge and diverse mosaic of languages, religions, races, customs, spiritual expressions, etc, etc.
It just sounds ridiculous and frankly kind of a bigoted thing to say.
I mean COME ON PEOPLE!!! India is a place of contrast, of extreme diversity. It will humble, awe, frustrate, amaze, repulse, enchant, fascinate and enlightent you -- all in the same day.
And just like many other 3rd world countries, India will still go through many problems before it recovers much of the splendour of its past. But its greatness remains !! and shines through all its mess.
And so you got to be a bit tolerant and expect much of this diversity and chaotic elements to be reflected to some degree in an India section on this forum. Like Duh!! no shit, and if it does gets a little too messy everynow and then, well you know what: BIG HAIRY DEAL. I will personally much rather take the shit to get also its good than be deprived of all its good entirely.
Long live the India section with its own uniqueness and psychedelic crazyness !!!
Anyways, if you are going to close the Indian section, well close it but for your own localized Israel regulations or whatever vision decides what goes on here.
But don't try and pigeonhole the psychedelic scene and tell the people of such a huge and heterogeneous country like India that its because THEY failed. Yeah what a fucking joke.
It reminds me about when they told me to shut up because of my drug talk while at the same time they allowed a whole thread on booze which is not even a psy drug. The difference they told me is that booze is legal. Yeah legal where, Israel, Europe? or who exaclt defines the rules? Because guess what, if you are a huichol indian Peyote is 100% legal in Mexico. So while some drugs are legal in one country in another they are are not. but thats another subject.
Long live the India section with its enigmatic beauty and madness (even if not understood by all.)

Hey Minus, I think people got confused with the later part of my post.
However I did point out at the start of the message that I SUSPECTED you were "talking out of your ass" when you said "India is the source: the 1 and only source in this rock of an earth"
I think that everyone agrees that the scene started in India. But I think you are pushing it when you make emphasis on India being the number 1 and ONLY source because, correct me if I am wrong, didn't all this happen also because of the hippies from Europe and the US that visited India?
And you also have to remeber that maybe those hippies would have not gone to India if it wasn't for everything that helped fuel the psychedelic revolution in the 60s like the invention of LSD and the rediscovery of the hallucinohenic mushrooms. Hey maybe psychdelic substances can also be seen as mother source of this psychedelic trance scene.
I think most likely it was a combination of things with India as a setting and influence playing a very important role in the very least. And like many have expressed already I think it has to to with Indias rich and deep mystical traditions, with so much of it centering on self discovery and awakening which has I think a lot of resemblence with the psychdelic experience.

The source was some alien planet a gazillion lightyears away, some crazy hippy musician on lsd in Goa just happened to pick up the frequency when he was tuning his mind and synthesizer.
On a more earthly note... if you check out the Floyd album 'A Saucerful of secrets' (especially the track with the same name), its dripping with twisted psychedelia. All thats missing is the bassline. And that began as the tribal ritual from thousands of years ago.
But if you really want to pinpoint a geographic source... IMVPO...It's not India. It's Tibet. |

^^and I got to admit I didn't quite get what you were referring to exactly, that's why I asked the source of what? I kinda thought you were talking beyond psy trance and thought you were going a tad bit to far. So sorry for my poor choice of words responding to that. Because though I actually think the source of the psy scene is really in fact due to a combination of things I also think people are generally right when they say India is the mother/source of it because it did all pretty much start there. Which is precisely why I was bitching about Isratrance closing down the India section. Sad choice for the ENTIRE forum if you ask me, I personally think its better to have a messy window to such a great country than no window at all.

@Aluxe- Ok i stand corrected if you were being all sarcastic and ironical about the entire thing but i must say it was very cleverly disguised and i completely missed your sarcasm. I knew the latter part of your post wasnt intended for minus but it came across as very condescending rather than supportive. The reason for the confusion:

Exotic by this I meant that if the Isratrance team wants to throw blame, they should then blame their own Israel forum rules and guidelines which most likely come from their own local perspective of how things should be done and not from a true global perspective that can understand a variety of countries including some as complex and large as India.
But please don't blame our Indian sisters and bros.
Because you can't blame the Indians for their unique ways, nor can you blame India for being so diverse and "crazy" to your foreign eyes because India is India and to do so would be to fall into bigotry.
Plus lets not forget that after all the scene did begin in... INDIA.
On the other hand NO the scene did not begin in the Isratrance forum, nor is it owned by them or defined by their guidelines and rules. So who are they to tell the Indians that they failed and need to rethink their attitudes in our psy scene? kind of arrogant IMHO.
And I brought this up because of the messege the mods left at the top of the closed Indian section which tells the Indians its them who failed. I just found it a bit offensive to the Indian bros, that's all.
Anyways, sorry to everyone for the confusions, I will try and be more careful from now on with my writing. Peace to all. |
