Ambient Alchemy tour and official release of the Ambient Alchemy/In:Vision Festival Compilation through Native State Records.

Left Coast Liquid Vol. 1

Left Coast Liquid
dubtempo/SciDM

Left coast liquid vol/1 is a lush and dynamic compilation exploring the tranquil territory between established downtempo genres and IDM

Featuring 10 intricate spacious and original tracks from a diverse and talented line up of electronic musicians, this album is a quintessential release marking a new phase in the proliferation of global chill culture

Based in BC, Native State Records is the seed project of evan bluetech who launched the label with his highly acclaimed elementary particles ep early in 2004, an album which was later picked up and released world-wide by Aleph Zero Records in Israel

For this second release, Native State brings together hybrid forms of the organic and the electronic, revealing new dimensions of digital music.

With tracks from both well-established and emerging artists Left Coast Liquid is a relaxing journey into the liminal spaces of sonic fusion.

Repressing the evolved sound of dance music culture along the west coast and beyond, this compilation includes tracks by:

Phuture Primitive - Oleander (symbiotic mix)
a blissful remix of the original which fuses the melodic tranquility of bluetech with the enchanting atmosphere and percussive groove of Phutureprimitive. This track is an emotive re-interpretation which explores the synthetic pleasures and organic instincts of these two artists.

Desert Dwellers - Parabolic
this emotive clend of idm, glitch, lounge, and psy-downtempo is the result of the collaboration between Amani Friend from Santa Fe, and DJ Treavor of Moontribe

Shen - Stonehouse
attuned to the subtle realms of internal environments and expansive atmospheres, Shen applies an acute downtempo sensibility to his post-civilizational musings, evoking organic structures through ecologies of resonant chords, lush textural elements, and minimalist computerized grooves

Sympath - Pond Life
this deep organic hybrid, compoased deep in the rainforest studio by Noah Pred and Naasko Wripple, is a dreamy and hypnotic foray into aquatic psi_DM

Shulman - NN3
coming from Israel, the shulman projet is one of the leading groups in the global psy-chill and ambient scene with two highly successful albums released since 2002. Known for innovation and breaking borders, the music of Yaniv Shulman and Omri Harpaz is filled with evolving organic layers backed by rich harmonies

Adham Shaikh - The Garden
West coast fusion DJ, composer and sound designer, Adham has been creating music from his SonicTurtle mobile studio for several years and has released his music on a number of well known labels including Interchill, Dakini, Six Degrees, Liquid Sound Design, Waveform, Sounds True, Instinct, One World, Stoned Asia, as well as on his own label SonicTurtle.com

Shakatura - Baldocious Turp
dwelling in a diodiesel powered studio of equal parts moss and silicon, Shakatura's mandate is to synergize cosmic memory through the disperal of aural lushness. This track is a much anticipated follow up to his album 'Galactvation'

Rena - Autumn
Blending ethno, IDM, breakbeat and downtempo. Rena's music is a freshly unique style incorporating warm tones of violin and percussion. As a multitalented musician producer and audio engineer, she has recently completed her solo album 'transmigration'

Nalepa - Fresh
multimedia event producer, art book publisher, paranormal news researcher and armed with analogue synths, ableton live, and reason, Nalepa crafts songs by fusing together deep dub bass, glitchy breaks, bioacoustic atmospheres, and beautiful melodies

Bluetech - Leaving Winter Behind
this piece of music is an exploration of the shift between the darkness of winter into spring. It references the pain of death as life goes to seed, but looks forward with hope towards new growth and change.
