Q- How can I start making music?
A- You need programs such as Reason, Cubase, Fruity Loops, etc. Try to read in this board or use the search engine.
...that means a computer and some good headphones.
cost ~ 1000.- $ ...up
and if u mean with mixer,monitors,...
with 2000 u are on the way...

i think the minimum will be monitors, a sound card and maybe a MIDI controler.
but if you're only a beginer there's no rush for buying stuff.
start playing with fruity or cubase or whatever software you want, then when you get more profesional and serious you can maybe invest some money.
btw, there are many great projects who are making music without ANY equipment (only soundcard and monitors i guess).

minimum:
you need a good pc, software (dont go for fruity), soundcard and headphones (go for monitors later)..
later you'll go for monitors, midi keyb, midi controllers, etc etc..

Well, I really expected something like this from u SuperGlue.. but what can I say? : -Yes! go for Fruity its an amazin ultra powerfull damn good software!! (Sorry man, I cant tell anyone this.. and dont matter how lamme I am!!)

A Minimal good studio. i wont to make an album and giVe it to alabel.

There is defenetly no need to spend 50.000 on studio
equipement in one time , the most important things to
start with music creation is what SuperGlue said + midi
keyboard and good headphones in addition to monitors.
About other things that u may add to your studio depends
on your personal needs after u start with basic things .
When u get the maximum out of the basic equipement
maybe u will buy some hardware synths, sampler,
valve compressors , mixer or midi fader box etc...
There is so many good things on the market , and there is
a lot of shit that u may never really need , so only a lot
of experience will show u what u need and what u don't .
Another point about giving a finished cd for release to
a label it's not nesessery needs to be done on 50.000
equipement , it can be made on 486 computer with
impulse tracker only , beleave me that some ppl already
released they'r tracks this way .

as i said... if you want to start making music there's no need for buying anything(except software if you want to be legit... and maybe a pair of good headphones).
later on, when you will feel that your current configuration is keeping you back and you want better sound and freedom you can advance.
for example, i used to play with fruity loops for about a year. i had fun and my tracks were getting better. but then i got to a point that i no longer had fun in making music and the results were'nt satisfying imo. so i quit making music and found myself another hobby
so... what i'm saying is that if i had rushed and bought stuff, it would all go to waste now.
