hi people

I have 2 CDJ100S in home, which i bought in secondhand. These were manufactured in June 2000, which makes them aprox. 3 years old.

They are in good condition, apart from a few scratches in the finish, and one of them distorts a little using the JET fx.

However, there is one things that annoys me.
After beatmatching (beatmatching really good, 2 or 3 mins) the tracks stay in sync for about a minute or less and i start losing the mix... after a minute and a half they are 0.1% offbeat. What annoys me is that i have to make corrections every 15-20 secs or so...

My question is: is this normal on every cdj, or mine are in worse condition that i thought?
And if this is normal, does it apply to any cdj (500, 800, 1000) or just the 100S?

As i said, i never played on any other cdj, but using 1210 turntables, i manage to stay in the mix for 2 mins without corrections...

peace

well, its normal my friend. at cdj100 the minimal change u can make its a 0.1, so its prety rare u will have lock beatmatch, just get to use fix de mix every 15-20 sec as u said.
at cdj800/1000 u have much more gradation on pitch - 0.05, thats mean 20 time more accurate pitch.
at TT its even more accurate.

I beg to differ, i have cdj-500II and my mixes are much more stable unlike the mixes on the cdj-100 that has to be fixed every 10 seconds.

well, from my own expirience its same. interesting if technology same at both cdjs (i think its same). i also want to say that its not that u allways need to fix every 10 sec since i "lock" alot of tunes (may be 50+%).           Believe your soul !
