It is about the absolute. You see, we need a God, something to worship, we call that truth. Doesn't matter it doesn't exist. And we can only worship an artist if he is a true one. I agree, for sure, being an artist (a true one) is all about the number of releases you have and the number of times you were mentioned in the newspapers and the amount of people that heard your music. It might be that a true artist is mejured by his othentics and truth to himself and towards his crowd. and don't give his art up in the comercial shawlo pattorn.
What I mean is that his art is unick and do not copy- got his style,
I really don't think it has anything to do with number of releases- you can have 10 cd's and they all crap.

Do you mean that Brytny speers is a True artist by that???
think about it dude... many artist that are so good: they are not known to us at all, just because they have unick style- for a small amount of ppl, and no cd company is willing to take that risk.
they prefer the avarag pathetic pattorn that gives the managers their money and raiting- they dont care less if you're true or not- as long as you provide them the sails!!!

in my words i wold say..wht traveller said is in some words understandable coz the number of artists just seem to be increasing..and sometimes i wonder how long the artist has been actually making music and releasing it.....damm there are soo many artist names i see on the forum whose tracks i havent heard at all!!( no offence to any of u! am sure ur good at what u do)
so in a way what traveller says is somewhat understandable tho he has pushed the line with the requirements and the sarcastic statements thereon...

Being an artist is too complex, see Britney Spears is POP singer and dancer (maybe) she has no artistical attention at all since her music and words written and producer by other, means she is out of topic.
I guess you should read her biography first and steps she done in order to be pop idol before you open your dirty mouth.
Now other question i assume you all think that psy trance is most creative and imaginary art in music scene, then you wrong. Critics never speak about psy trance and listeners prefer other styles as you can see by sales and size of gigs. Means psy trance is not so good as you think it is. Coz i've got an idea most of you trying to flame here without proper explaination.
NOW ABOUT ART
These days i see art being ripped off, copy pasted or sold which means art has nothing to do with actual music scene, maybe a little. |

So you are saying that copying and pasting is not art? It is while the person is copying and pasting, isn't it, if that person is creating then. Because he/she might be only going through the motions, then it is not art for that person, but i might create something when i see it, so it then is art for me.

U can create great pictures by cutting magazines and glue them to new things. Same with music, just cut stuff from music and other tracks, from the radio all what has a frequency can be used.
