we dont disagree... i'm just trying to tell you that these statuses shouldnt intimidate you. the only ones that should are ones like mine 
just kidding.
at anyrate, life is a rat race in some senses... the psytrance "culture" (if such a thing is left) is not detached from soceity, so things spill over sort of speak to it.

artist is someone who makes art for crying out loud, you think we sould get an ISO 9001 to say that he is an artist and that one isn't ? who the hell are you or anyone for that matter to determine that ?

Yes, life is a rat race.....and psytrance is my escape from the 'real' world 'cos i think the 'real' world and the way it works stinks like shit.....am i wrong? I don't want to start thinking the same way about the music and the scene i love so much - I'm not saying psytrance doesn't have its bad eggs - everything does.....just don't want the 'real' world workings reflected in it.
And i assure you - the colour of someone's name is the last thing i would get intimidated by hahaha |

Not that fond of making music myself. Sure as hell wouldn't put 100s if not 1000s of € on the necessary hardware. I do own a drumkit thou and play with them every now and then. I'm not the one to say who is or isn't an artist in general. However I do have the right to say what it takes imo to be a respectable one. What goes for ridiculous posts.. maybe you should visit the top ten section?

I think those are pretty dumb requirements to what is a real artist or not..
who are you to tell who is an artist or not? Its the same thing over and over I see..
Too many people think they are impartial judges or have the monopoly on what is art and who really belongs in ´the scene´ or not..
maybe its time for a psychedelic humbling experience? or just taking a close look at oneself and seeing how small you are in comparison to your ego´s projected image of yourself

I think a respectable artist is one who makes music for the love of making music.... & has one full length album (worth of material) to boot.
u can't be any geek of the streets....
u've gotta be handy with the steel if u know what i mean....
earn ur keep
besides... any one hit wonder can call himself an Artist, but @ the end of the day how many other people do (for whatever reasons) is what matters
