Ok folkz - I've just installed Windows 2000 with SP3 and the latency of my delta is cignificantly got better!

I was using windows98se before that, and I could reach minimum 8ms latency. Now I can actually reach almost 1ms - at least that's what the buffer range says

Cheers,

I am using Win2000 no SP, and with KX drivers for SBLive. My latency is 2ms!
What sound card are you using?           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

2ms latency on a sblive that sounds a bit weird
this card is probably one of the worst ones regarding latency. but hey if it works it works. however latency is something that can be adjusted from several different places usually within the different software so the timing may still vary from product to product and from system to system. you should seriously consider installing all service packs for win2000 it´s not very good with midi or audio for that matter the service packs dramatically increase the performance in several points. i can also remember something about earlier versions having trouble with usb.
switch to winxp for a more trouble free pc
win2000 is on the way out anyway
