Will evaluate the quality of the songs and real sales potential.
All cover art must have a professional design, amateur art with releases will be automatically rejected.
Soon we will get a huge list of releases that are deleted, the reasons are:
- Low sales
- Bad quality of music
- Bad reputation of the artist

i presume this is standart procedure from Beatport...
i think this is good, there are way too many labels wanting to sell their shit... but they dont realize they shouldnt sell it, because its not a quality product..
its simple, if a product isnt good or competitive enough to offer quality to the consumer its obvious it should not be sold out...
but some people is complete out of their minds and just because they want to force being artists or DJ´s, they start their own labels and sell their shit...
and this is exacly when the market become flooded of trash and then no one sells, because there is so much "offer" so much shity that doesnt worth buy in the market... that then genuine good stuff doest sell...
democracy is good, open world and liberlism is theoricaly a good thing, but it becomes a problem if people isnt resonable or dont follow good etical values... and thats why its necessary to control the markets
today there are new model of market which is...
instead of distribution companys being selling music... they make money by charging labels per release...
basicly instead of taking a product from a label and sell to the public and charge % of it, today they make living on offering releases packages to indy and net labels (that will never sell to the public... and they dont care) and making profit from it...
they offer you "distribution" to the best stores... like beatport, itunes and that all that shit (they do... its what they doo)
but they dont care if the product have quality or not, their bisness is charge money to introduce the product to a store...
they dont care if your track will sell 2000 or 0...
because they already charged you 25/50 euros to you release an EP or an album...
but this is becoming a problem to some stores because they need to keep a certain quality level...
its starting to afect the bisness reputation, and serious labels and decent artists dont want to be selling their music at the same level with amateurish stuff...
so its no surprise the requirements, the market needs to increase its standart quality again.... or otherwise no one will sell soon.

how they can judge is something is bad quality or not..at one point its subjective to taste.. and sales don't reflect much quality these days..not sure it s good move for less commercial music like psytrance. |

I slso read about the "necessary to control the markets"
Control could be the wrong word, maybe its something like CULTURERIZE...
A lot of words about the difference between a true culture and the product "commercial culture" could be made here.
I think it wont't happen here but,
what would remain of a none politicel forum when the culture of a forum would get infected with the spirit of the comercial culture and the comercial culture is the controlling, leading politik of the world ?
O.K - Most people need money to buy food, so its necessary to find a way to get it, preferably with a "dream-profession"...
Since Faithless with their song "God is a DJ" the electronic world has changed a bit.
A lot of people would like to be "a kind of DJ-God" or a their songwriter.
The party-scene needs their DJs and their songwriter, of course. And they should get their money, of course.
But we should not forget about the spirit of truth and the possibility of a accordingly culture and that Psytrance has rised the spirit with a "bad sound qualiy".

i think people is over reacting here...
this is not about "comercializing" or someone taking the monopoly, its simply about ensure that a certain product have enough quality for the consumer to buy...
naturaly some products will not sell a thing, because they arent good enough to be sold out... so people wont buy them...
if you want to complain that top 100 psytrance of beatport is ridiculous because its about "techtrance" and other stuff...
than its your fault... because you dont buy the psytrance you enjoy... if you people buy the tracks from the artists you enjoy... then the market would make sense, and then perhaps labels would starting again searching for talents and release stuff for quality... |

It's everywhere the question of the intensions.
And it's a question how clear we get pictures of cultural intensions, cultural developments, cultural possibilitys and the modern commercial rules in the culture and how we act.
