DUH, because they came late, is why they're complaining that the party finished early... less party time...

edit: in answer to the real question here(Why do people come to parties so late?) I have no clue why....we just do           We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home.

ppl come late to parties because on the way to the party they have to dodge various infernal creatures of the night that lurk beneath subway platforms inside traffic lights and in highway traffic.

sometimes they complain because the party was so good that whenever it ends it is too early and whenever they got there it was too late.

In my experience, there are many times where the opening acts of the party are either locals that play very frequently, or djs that nobody has heard of or is really into.

It really also depends on the place. If you have the event at a club, then many people would rather do most of their drinking and what not prior to arriving to the club to avoid paying club prices for drinks. Also if the club doesn't have in/out privvies or a smoking patio, many of those who smoke will be more inclined to show up to where there is the least amount of time between smokes.

Another thing that must be realized is that most of the people that go to the indoor events that would complain like this are incredibly used to outdoor events that end sometime the next afternoon. So to go to an event that ends at 4am or something like that really puts a damper in how much fun one can have.... Ever try driving home at 4 am after a party? It kinda sucks, even if you got there at 9pm.

Even out here, most of the people don't show up till after midnight usually (indoors predominantly) but we also tend to go usually at least till 5 or 6 in the morning...

I have always had a big issue with parties that end at 2 or even 4 in the morning, regardless of how early they start. If it's during the week, I can completely understand because people (including myself) have to work in the morning, but it is hard for me to go to a party if it's going to end at 2 or 4 in the morning...           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Isvara, i think this question is addressed towards me, based on the comments I made last week.

There are certain days in the calendar where "strangely enough" we have to spend some time on family gatherings such as b-days, anniversaries, and other familiy related activities. And some of them happen to end around 2 or 3 in the morning, which makes it kind of tough to get to a party early, don't you think?

This question was not specificaly directed at you SpaceShark. It was more like a food for thought type of a question.

When Synthetic was doing parties, everybody gathered 30 or even more minutes before the club opened and the party started as soon as you got in. These days is a little different situation and it was interesting to hear your opinions on why is that.           .-= We are searching for something that is already found us =-.
