^ Cool review. I ordered mine from Saiko today. Very excited - in a chilled, understated kind of way...

This arrived for me on Friday. The Cell track is amazing as well. Leaves me really wanting to the hear the upcoming album.

All is all, this is a fantastic compilation. From the ambient modern classical sounds at the beginning, through some beats here and there, and then back to the lovely closer from James Murray.

Only listened to it once so far, in the car yesterday on a drive through the country. Can't wait to listen again and explore it more fully.

Thanks Ultimae and Nova!

(and thank you too for not mixing the tracks into each other )

There is something very sleepy about this. way too chilled out, after a while it seems like beat less music.

Asura, aes dana and cell are noteworthy , the rest don't match up.

I personally like the "sleepiness", as you put it. Love it, actually.

It's good and healthy for a label (and artsts) to diversify a bit if they feel like it. I'm sure future releases will please those who find this one a bit too laid back.

I'm with you DjSchofield.
I absolutely Love this release.

" Imaginary Friends " in my opinion is another futuristic release from Ultimae and Nova that really delivers something beautiful, fresh, colorful and unique. ( like most of the Ultimae releases )

and of course a lot of the credit goes to the artists involved in this compilation for creating the magnificent music.

cheers !

I decided to write a more detailed review on Imaginary Friends.

it's up on chillbase
http://www.chillbase.org/reviews/191-va-imaginary-friends.html

I usually don't write a track by track review but I felt that it was necessary this time.

cheers !
