simply cause psyshop changes unit price for each country...and play with US dollars rate.
The CD is at 11 euro for european country, less for you...cause for them you should pay taxes for import...and effectivly our French post is more expensive than the german one...no choice on that point cause we refuse to send in economic mode overseas...but don't affirm we merge 6 dollars more, this is wrong.
Enjoy |

This is a really great compilation. I'm really struck by the Aes Dana, Hol Baumann, Asura, Solar Fields combo of tracks near the end.
Stunning!

Hey Vince,
Thanks for your response on the matter. Not asserting that Ultimae is inflating prices at all. I was just curious about the difference. I'll still be putting my order in direct to Ultimae. Thanks for another quality installment from a fantastic label.

OT: I've made it my point to make sure the Aes Dana page on last.fm stays vincent and not those douchey black metal swedes.

I gladly pay the extra euros to support Ultimae and get those warm hand-written greetings and incense sticks. Its a special moment opening the envelope! |

I got my " Imaginary Friends " CD from Ultimae this week and I listened to it 5 or 6 times so far,so I guess I can write a few words on it, though I'm sure that I will discover more depths and atmospheres within these tracks.
I think that sometimes it's best not to define art and not to categorized and squeeze it into squares of genres and sub genres, styles and so on... so I will try my best not to do it with my words on this compilation.
Therefore I'm only going to express my thoughts and opinions and not to write a review like I sometimes do.
Here we go ...
" Imaginary Friends " is pure beauty from start to end, a real masterpiece !
Nova and Ultimae did it again.
All the tracks in this compilation are special and with a lot of soul .
Nova put together a bunch of Great tracks from very talented artist and he guides us into an hypnotic emotional journey that boosts the mind and soul as well.
A terrific choice of tracks by Nova .
Like all the Ultimae releases this compilation comes with beautiful packaging and beautiful artwork. ( Really beautiful and original. )
" Regenzeit II " by Field Rotation is a wondreful track from a very promising artist that like all the artist in this compilation has a very unique sound and style. a beautiful sequel to the also beautiful first part of " Regenzeit " from the brilliant " Hope " compilation. ( looking forward to Field Rotation's EP on Fluid Audio )
I don't know who is this kevin andrew guy, but he provided an excellent track for this compilation.
one of the most cinematic tracks here.
fantastic stuff.
the Rena Jones track - " Photosynthesis " (Nalepa remix) is enchanting.
offthesky is another rising star for sure and his track - " Gently, drown the Scene " is very captivating.
also very cinematic, quite deep and ethereal.
very moving atmospheric stuff.
I never heard about murya until now, and I'm very happy that Nova chose to include a track by this artist from Iceland.
" Gray Daze " is stunning and contains some of the most moving melodies I heard lately.
it also contains some sort of smart simplicity that really captures you.
I hope to hear more from this artist.
the Cell track is top quality dreamy music. ( looking forward to his new album on Ultimae )
Aes Dana as usual provided a beautiful piece of work.
Vincent Villuis is definitely one of the most creative and innovative minds around, as Aes Dana, as one half of H.U.V.A Network and as one half of the Ultimae core.
" Handwritten Notes " is one of Hol Baumann's best creations.
a Great track. mysterious and magical. a heartwarming track.
the Asura track is quite different from his previous work,in a fresh new way.
a very good track. (also looking forward to his new album on Ultimae )
the original " Times are good " from Solar Fields's " Leaving Home " album is a wonderful track that I really love and the " Sometimes remix " here offers a new panoramic and deep point of view for this track and it's absolutely magnificent. no need to say more about Magnus Birgersson,we all know his a genius.
the " Decades mix " for " Eleven " by James Murray is another good new angle for the also good original version of the track.
after releasing an amazing album on Ultimae and a few brilliant tracks on some compilations, James Murray is definitely one of the best discoveries of the last few years.
All the tracks here are in high quality production and a great mastering job from vince is included.
Excellent sound quality,lush and clean.
So a big thanks to the Ultimae team and artists for constantly pushing the boundaries with every release and for having the balls to do something different and going to new artistic horizons.
Also thanks to everyone at Ultimae for the warm relationship with us fans. and for the Great customer service.
And of course a Big thanks to Nova for his Good taste in music, also for his beautiful photographs and for creating this trip and of course a big thanks to all of the artists involved in this compilation. ( in the music side and in the artwork side )
Cheers ! |
