total recorder, just set it as your recording device, then it'll cleanly record what you hear. |

soo , total recorder and soundtap aren't free , the no 23 site is in German and Harddiskogg doesn't work .. saves audio but its just empty wav files .. so i searched and came across something called `Pazera Audio Extract` , freeware but it rips the entire source file only .... I want a nice small software , basically a couple click solution to quickly extract audio from a movie for example while it plays .. audio hijack apparently , fits the bill but its mac only .. how do u guys go about getting audio from games , movies etc on your computer ?
ps. google is shit sometimes so please feel free to send me a pm with links to illegal download sites / sotwares etc ..

You can use any program to record a sound internally, you just need to make your 'stereo mix' the default recording device.
Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Audio > Sound Playback: Volume > Options > Properties > Check Adjust Volume for: Recording and make sure Stereo Mix is checked > Click OK, than just click 'Select' under stereo mix and adjust volume.
P.S. Remember, that if you want to record anything from a mic after that, you have to check 'select' under the Microphone again.
