guys,
the lead stabs that start at 0:51 and filter out into more stuttery effects
i was wondering those stabs at the beginning are they really done with note length cuz i think it could be done more precisely than that like turning a knob or something..please help us make those stutter effects if you know how...

I can't view youtube at work so I can't help with this instance, but I just wanted to say that recently I've started to realize that you can make some really cool lead sounds by chopping apart the audio from a pad (adding a gate or stutter is fun to do) .

everything is said... listen to elad and me.
they took audio file, cut it, and place it
in the right time. i think the fast one is
not just 32 but 64 timing bar.
(i dont know any plugin/synth what could
do this as nice as audiocut)
dont forget fade out and fade in on each
sample, to prevent clicks.

manually chopped... that's my opinion... or a clever trancegate program / automat... choppin is easier tho.
Stop being lazy, take scissors tool and begin manually choppin' n arrangin' that's the way to go.

well this is definetly a way that cubase users do it and so should people using ableton live but i never really liked cubases manual labor so i kind of look for those "magic knobs" people keep inventing so whatever its ok i understand it can be done manually but im sure its gonna sound much much much better if it can be done with a knob (for obvious reasons) anyways thanks alot guys i feel like u guys are done with these stupid questions lol saii.rave.ca

Sorry bro but what obvious reasons are there for it to sound better if done with knob?
I still haven't found a tool that chops and arrange sound in a groovy way without editing, not even best trancegate vsts out there.
Nothing can replace human mind in arranging this bits of audio.
Do not take it as an offence, i didnt mean to, it is not a stupid questions but i believe you are approaching this topic with the wrong attitude. It is not about finding magical answers but working to achieve what u are looking for.
It is possible to chop sound in ableton too and it has great tools for this... or you can trate to setup a beatrepeat instance or chain.

shit ok no problem i dont mind doing the labor at all thats not the problem but its just that i play alot live and i use the apc40 for ableton and i just wanted to figure out a way of doing it like say with beat repeater or something like that and assign a knob for it to do it live...
anyways ill figure it out and let you guys know if intrested.
