you are demonstrating your maximum quality capability of your studio with a 6 sec wav?

Now thats to be ashamed of..

Alot of times quality is in the tuning...

If you want you can do like the old days and rent a studio for a hour or 2... at least you won't be able to complain about the lack of equipment..

Now Infected is Infected.. they have a good ear and a lot of production skills.. Skills that don't come with any software or hardware.

Alot of softwares just emulate hardware, rerouting the digital signal before it goes out to your speakers.

You say you reached the maximum

Tell me that in six monthes, whan you are better than you are today           Super Banana Sauce http://www.soundcloud.com/knocz

i think the kickBASS SNARE HIHAT Combo perfectly shows production knnowledge...yeah.

what i pretended with this topic was really to get some tip that would improve these 4 elements..
and im not questing for perfection,im just trying to "get there" if u know what i mean...

will chek out and give u my sincere opinion...
i wasnt trying to offend u if i did that was not my intention so i apoligize if u took it that way... even though i think u know by now that this is a hell of a forum and a 99% of the folks here are here to help one another in someway....

i just felt that with that lil piece it wasn't enough to justify the sound besides im not at home so i can hear it loopin or what not i guess i was expectin a full track or 2 mins to chek out the full production not just some drums and bassline... anyways mate i'll chek out ur stuff n let u know what i think peace and keep rockin

Well, Im only going to tell you something, what you are doing is going to limit you, because It is a loop, and actually, too compressed.

The only pleasure you can get from it by listening to this loop for 5 minutes is a strange conclusion, too complicated for me to understand, my suggestion to you is, forget all the self image you got and just work on a story track, something complete and then you will be able to let people judge your production by helping you.           www.myspace.com/enertopiapsy

i took a listen to it too

the quality is not bad, and the production skill is there, maybe the choice of sounds? the bass and snare come off too harsh to me-also it sounds a little to fast

also agree 200% with Enetopia, one in that the reason the bass and snare may sound too harsh is the limiting/compression, two that its about the story. break loopitis!

reason why infected are so well liked is because of the frequent changes, and different musical elements thrown in

*listening tip check out their first album the gathering

i got home n checked it out... and i agree with the rest of the folks... it does sound harsh also i couldn't agree more

the bass and snare may sound too harsh is the limiting/compression, two that its about the story. break loopitis!

reason why infected are so well liked is because of the frequent changes, and different musical elements thrown in

definitly a great point their stuff changes up alot no some loop playing over n over and they have elements of surprise that punch right in the chest

a kick a bassline a snare and a hi hat its easy to mix so they sound ok

add to this pads, synths, drum loops, sweeps, chords, fx and then repost something more than 4 sounds ur skill will show with 30 sounds playing!

even IM or any other producer hasn't reached what you call max quality. just compare the quality psy tracks had 1 year ago, and you can do this in the next year and in the next, the next and the next. you have to keep in mind that there's no such thing as perfect quality, and it can allways be better (important rule when mixing).
another thing, it's not the studio that makes the music, it's you. they have better quality than you not because they have hardware but because they have skill and years of experience. and hours of tuning

so don't blame your studio... i have a 30€ 2.1 soundsystem and i can make quality things and STILL think it is possible to make a pro track (ok mastering is too much but i think mixing is possible) with this system (altough ultra hard, i think i'll have money for a pair of monitors first lol).

-> oh i remember... yeah never forget that the stuff you listen is mastered by a sound engineer. that means loosing hours overcompressing things and stuff so that your track sounds as good and as loud as a released track is a waste. just make everything fit and balanced.

Professional quality is a combination of equipment and your own ears.

Yeah, you can analyse someone elses production to a tee but it might not fit your track.

To me, this sounds overcompressed for sure, the percussion seems to take up all of the space, and there's a disunity to the sounds.

I also can't see how you'd fit any other sounds in with that.

Once you've pushed your equipment to the max, realise that it's only half the story - actually listen and you'll get truly better.
And you might not even need such expensive equipment

PS
You haven't spelt the link to your soundlift page right. It's got an 'o' in it
