Well shahar, if you put this up then yes i must agree
with some of the thing you said.
The sound was horrible in the midlle on the side on the stage (where i was most of the time) and
this was a bummer to lidten to "Dusties" tunes in this sound system.
It was hot, too hot inside you couldnt breath there wasnt ventilation and every one could feel it, but on the
other side, still, for me the music was very very good. still i hope to hear him in a better sound system.

After reading Shahar and Yuli's words, I'm quite satisfied that I didn't show up...
Although my absence, I concur about how horrible it is to listen to great artists such as Dusty Kid with such a poor quality sound system.

I can't believe that I'm saying this, but I utterly miss the summer.

Will i must agree with Shahar here, i had high hopes from the Dusty boy due to the great music he produces, but in his set @ the Barzilai there was no build up what so ever, no atmosphere or tension that goes somewhere.
From the very begining of his set it was full gaz forword with lot of breaks and expected intro's, add it to the horrible sound at the club, after an hour and a half i had enough.

Dusty Kid's music is very intelligent in my openion, but his live set at the Barzilai was not even near that.

firstly id'e like to say after reading all of your reviews everyone can say what they think it's legitimate but it seems like you are over criticizing all the insignificant stuff around the music instead of the music itself.
i noticed the awful sound and noticed the cigarette stench , also noticed the lame equipment the kid was forced to use for his live but still i went out from the barzilay with such a smile ...
one that says "i just heard the best live ever" and i couldnt care less from all the fucking nonsense around !! so ppl sometimes you should just not be so gripers and look at the "bright side".
i think it was a briliant set,i think the kid is a fucking genius and im sure if you all just for one second wont be the Israeli over demanding typical crowd you would all say Dustykid was pure pleasure.

hmmm....
I think my review was mostly centered about his live and why I didn't enjoy it. Musically. Spartak & Yuli also discussed the music. Read again. His set just didn't make me dance. The rest was just a bonus.
Glad you had fun. We just like different stuff. That's cool.

I have 2 say hoorey 4 the amount of isratrancers at the Barzilay all at once.... expandin the horizons eh?
I have 2 admit ive been "cheatin" on the trance scene 4 a couple of years now, findin myself more and more into the techno side of the world....
Ive been 2 almost every major party in that field and i think i can say that Dusty Kid was pretty good, no more, no less, but thats my opinion and my taste so it has no relevance what so ever and i guess it doesnt even interest any1. Gabriel Ananda, Tiefshcwartz, Ame, Koze and more were defenitly more innovative and more interestin IMHO.
I just wanted 2 say sth 2 Shachar and Yuli.
Tech sets, and i think also the house-electro Djs in Europe do not spin there vinyls like trance people do, or at least, trance DJs in israel. Its more performance, more show, more mixing, more breaks. they want and need their presence on the stage 2 b felt and thats y i mostly prefer cing foreign tech-house-electro-breaks artists from Europe then the Trance artists these days. They give a show. I pay 100 shekels 2 watch these guys and i dont want 2 c a boring guy standing next 2 the Mixer and every 4 minutes nodds his head forward.... Iwanna c a live show! LIVE!
As 4 all the breaks, i have 2 admit i didnt really like that with Ananda and i didnt like it with Dusty. i am a trancer in soul and i will stay like that. if u go back 2 the meanining and the reason 4 the name of our beloved music, we need repetitivness! we need melody and we need a flow. IMHO Dusty didnt provide.....
I just wanna b Retro-Blue-Room and say

GK if you think LIVE is about how high you jump in your DJ booth, then you don't really understand the meaning of live. In fact, the more the LIVE is real, the less time to jump in the DJ you have, since u need to control all those buttons and faders, and sometimes jumping and waving your hands doesn't go well with doing that.

HAVING SAID THAT, I respond ONLY to what you have said about the SHOW, no idea what Dusty Kid was doing there ( I wasn't there )           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

Well Guy, I just wanna dance and have my mind go other places. Music is mostly in charge of that. Though the DJ/artist energy has an effect, of course. And musically most of that night just didn't do it to me.

And on a side note, as for how live it was, it wasn't much livelier then your average trance live. And anyway, I'll take a long set from a good DJ over most lives, but that's drifting from the topic already.           ---------------------------------------------

Yuli - U got me all wrong. I i didnt say that a live show is measured by, in your words, how hight the dj jumps... i know that a live show is a hard work, especially a real 1, but i still disagree with u. u r the masters, the creators, the artists. i dont wanna come 2 a party and c u lookin at a computer monitor all the time while u practically (by u i dont mean u in particular, i mean the artists) just press about 2 buttons and sometimes even that aint happenin. but thats a whole other argument.......

Shahar, i am 100% with u on the long DJ set........
