In the next few days I am going to drop here some lines about Jan Mueller's work over the years as part of the legendary group X-DREAM and his fresh side project Prime Suspect.
Take notice that as said here in the first post: Jan Mueller is coming to play a DJ Set at our After Party on This Saturday 25.6 and it is not a live shaw.
Part 1: X-DREAM Story
This German production duo has evolved over the last decade into one of the best and most influential of the tech-trance genre, featuring their futuresound all around the globe with a stunning live show, which approximated the incendiary spirit of techno better than any other electronic act.
In 1989 they formed the creative core of X-Dream.
Two years later in 1991 their debut album, "Trip to trancesylvania" was greeted with much acclaim.
While 1995`s album, "We Created Our Own Happiness", was even a greater artistic success.
At the turn of 1998, X-Dream released their highly-reverred "radio" album, which gained them further recognition and is still regarded as one of the best and most loved tech-trance records ever!
The albums feature contributions from Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Raabe of midimiliz.
The fourth X-Dream album came out in 2002 bearing the title "Irritant" and healthily glowing with evidence that after twelve years of summoning up the highest quality dance music around , Marcus Maichel and Jan mueller can still do it.
X-Dream has come to be recognized as one of the vanguards of a new musical revolution. Their style has literally opened the door to numerous artists that fill the electronic dance music landscape today.
X-Dreams latest album "We Interface" features vocals by American run-away artist, Ariel. With their newest member Ariel, they have created a multimedia full stage performance , with video being created by X-DREAM.
The fact is, X-Dream are true artists. Thus having the capacity to embrace new frontiers, leaving the doors open to creative spirit.

Part 2: Review for X-Dream's last album "We Interface":
Prominent, shocking and groundbreaking masterpiece, featuring new X-Dreammember Ariel on the mic.

euphoric neural nets vs. synthetic logic regime"
The finest post-trance as a conceptual musical art?
YES!
From electro and full-on psy-trance to breakbeats and techno, all in one, one for all!
Starting with the "the 1st" an electro-trance anthem setting the mood of the album and opens it with its funky and catchy groove to spread the message: X-Dream are Back! The future is right Now!
And the chorus:
"We are the first of cyber- evolution
We are the first to program your future
We are the first, We are the last..."
Then comes the title track "We Interface" - straight and concrete dancefloor threat, with perfect melody to interface your bodies and brains with its extremely rocking synth riffs and craftily layered vocoded voice of Ariel keeps on singing:
"Information streams
Simulating dreams
Interactive mind-control
Systematic overflow!!!"
"Superintelligence" keeps the dancefloor feeling setted by previous one and its kind of rhythmic bass massage, upping the bpm with its propulsive beats and the Space FX, growing like tsunamiover and over with its irresistible percussions and keeping this solid "pleasure from the bass " so hot!
After comes "Try to Save Your Song" and its enforcing this dancefloor effect even more and proves itself as super-uplifting, danceable synth-slam anthem.
Then "Ultratube" keeps the album motion to flow at 143 beats per minute
Then the already well known "Quantum Lab" that brings the vocals back and calms the things.
Then another storm is taking over : "Virus" !!! full on quirky and psycho-delicious banging ripper!
Next is "Distressor" - a massive techtrance vortex, this minimal gorgeous drum kick that hits you straight into your heart band, right after "Slim Drum" continuing this turbo blast spinning bass attack and brings us to:
the "X-Ray Eyes" another electro anthem where even Marcus and Jan are joining to ariel and all them 3 singing together about:
"x-ray eyes
x-ray eyes are electric
x-ray eyes
x-ray eyes analyze
x-ray eyes
x-ray eyes strike the target
x-ray eyes
x-ray eyes read your mind"
(change "ray" for "dream" and "eyes" for "guys"and you will have X-Dream guys:)sounds like a new X-Dream hymn!:)
.....and its where the album comes to its end with an excellent remix of "The 1st" by legendary and highly acclaimed UK electronic act FLUKE-ed out downtempo groover spiced by cinematic electro-breakbeats and spaceship onboard sounds. Tasty!
Music remains to be on the edge of time!
X-Dream proves that the ultimate crossbreed between psy-trance, techno, breaks and electro works simply amazing!

part 3: PRIME SUSPECT
American artist Ariel and German electronic music producer Jan Mueller have joined forces to produce the criminal sounds of Prime Suspect.
With a blend of techno , breakbeat sounds ,electroclash and live vocals this duo creates a distinctive, futuristic hybrid of dance.
The multi-layered combination of synthesizer textures and guitar fury provide a fascinating soundscape for this duo´s exploration of the human condition of today.
The compelling mix of electronic punk featuring both Ariel and Jan´s emotive vocals add a taste of yesterday´s anarchist sarcastic flavor, but never interferes with the music, the issues are nevertheless serious.
