Use quality samples.

Name and color every channel to your taste. Keep things neat.

Learn music theory then forget it.

Finish every track you start no matter how bad it is. This is the only way to constantly work on EVERY aspect of creation, from production, to the even more important music writing skills. I personally have found the biggest dividing line between people who want to make music is that the people who finish their tracks improve much faster and write much better music than the people who seem to endlessly write a couple minutes worth of track and then give and start something else.           New Album: Jikkenteki - Flights Of Infinity

Study first and then start working. I my case it was the worst mestake that i have do it. Why? because wen we don't now how to work normally we thing that everything needs a lot of process and in the end we just need to put a finger in a bottom
We gain a lot of time doing this.

with so much information and advice floating around, on the internet particularly, you may find your self going on a very long journey. Along way down the road you will find you have learned much but sadly when you face reality you may find your have strayed far in the wrong direction and will wish to unlearn much of what you have accepted as so.           http://www.whatacunt.co.uk/

+++

yap this was advice i got from PSYCHO MICRO back in 2001 , this was the point i started to make tracks and develope as artist from being just someone play with loops and begin new loop evry 20 minutes.

sure it was still shit in the begining but after 7 long years i think it sound no so shity anymore , some people even realy like it! (offcourse i liked my own shit just the same but i can admit today it sounds way better in production level , not just eq etc but also the hole arrangement and chord proggressions etc.)

btw thanx for reminding me to use more time signature in the other topic , forgot about that for a while , now working on 6/6 102 bpm but 153 Kpm (k-kicks) so very danceable and freaky rythms there!
will post samples as soon i finished its realy coming one crazy track           www.sattelbattle.com

damn thats a bit of valuable information I was looking for! so 6/6 at 102 = 153 4/4?
is there a way to calulate the conversion for this? i.e. 6/6 at 107 would be what tempo at 4/4?           Gamma Riders EP out now on iTunes and Amazon.com!
