^^
Absolutely True. I've used less than a fraction of a percent of the bullshit people post in here. Most of it just causes either disgust or inspiration instead of straightforward help.

tip: create a new lesson or goal when you sit down to work.

examples:
today I'm going to do some work with reverbs or delays.
today I'm going to experiment with syncopation.
today I'm going to find out wtf a gate is.

nothing gets you nowhere it's all a learning experience. i'm sure we all have hundreds of unfinished songs, ideas, sketches, recordings, projects.... whether they started out as something and morphed into something else, or were abandoned out of frustration, or were simply experimental pieces - each of them served a purpose, some kind of purpose.

my top tips:

- read the manual
- don't install too many plugins
- there is no magic 'killer psytrance' button... just time, effort, and patience

Only do it if ur willing to fight for a career in it, otherwise do somethingelse which gets u forward in life quicker.

^^ wtf ?
cant someone make music for the love of it?
what career lol , he still dont know to make automation dude , and he is 13! megalol
i can see that as much we agreed in the past here i simply cant , since when 13 years old need to think of career , and since when music is done to 'get somewhere in life' and where is that somewhere? having mountains of money? having babes in evry country? snorting kilos of coke? be famous in the news? find your one true love? travel around the world? being happy?
this are all things got nothing to do with music btw , it can be the sideffect yes , but sure that being even succesfull musician is nothing to do with getting somewhere in life.. its about making music first.          www.sattelbattle.com

that's strange. i do everything for love and fun, cause i'm interested and it makes me happy.
yeah, at a certain time you are suddenly able to decide if you going for a career. i decided to do medicine for job but i still love tweaking knobs, drawing automation and creating hunderts of send-channels. and there's no pressure to finish something. i just do it for me and my friends and if i don't feel like making music anymore i just stop. i don't want to release, cause i know how many hard working pros like you guys are out there giving the best. yep, i buy cd's and love hearing great live acts that have spent much more time and passion for music than i did.

with 13 just use your brain and mind, do what you love to do, some years later you'll see the way into career.

i quite like the fact that i have a job which is stimulating and challenging which pays my bills and debts; and a separate music 'career' which lets me share my creative output with people without financial pressure.

in many ways earning a living from producing music would be wonderful. i would certainly like to give it a try one day. but nonetheless, there's a certain freedom which comes from not being dependent on music for your primary or sole income. it might mean you never really need to compromise, for example.

on a related note, i find that when i am most stimulated intellectually - whether through academic work when i was studying or in my professional life - i am more active and satisfied creatively. there is a kind of positive feedback path... and vice-versa. a frustrating or intellectually stifling day in the office can make for a super-productive session, and a really good weekend in the studio can make for a great start to the week's work.

if u wanna be a dilettante go ahead.(if career is not 4 u) Or preferably become master at something useful. The world doesnt really care about dilettantes tho.

Dont fall for the hippy mentality of thinking ur automatically special just coz u were born. Miracles that happened at least 6 billion times already should be suspiciously viewed as crap. Spirituality is just a way of justifying laziness and ineptitude.
