This is a message to all producers of any kind of trance. i will try to do it short...I' ve recently search over the web who was selling my tracks, and i've discovered SOOOO many illegal websites who sell tranceandwho arenot allowedto sell the tracks they have in their catalog ! Beside this, I've realised that there isn't ANY MP3 website specialised in trance !!!
So I just opened a new website to repair this...it is called http://www.trancepool.net and the goal of this website istobecomethe leaderin trance mp3 sells...WHY ? because with this system, any artist orlabel can directly upload their music by themselves, and decide the price of the tracks...cheapforold tracks andnormal prices for new ones...but YOU as an artist will manage your own page there, like a little myspace but for trance artists.
Everything is explained thereofcourse, you can see the agreement when you register..but you will never find anywhere the 70% i am proposing anywhere else...
Beside this, with the system of www.trancepool.net , you can generate a player that you can insert anywhere else on the web (you will get the codeof the player...) on your myspace page, or your website, and people will be abbleto listen, or buy yourmusic directly from this player without going to the trancepool website...
So if you make trance, you need to visit our system : www.trancepool.net
Last thing...i am seeking for all the "classics" of trance, the old ones..the "goa trance hits"...mostof the rights belongto the artistsnow, not to the labels anymore...so it seems like here would be the best place to reach all the people who might know how to reach the "old school" artists....and tell them about this websitetoo...the goal here would be to keep in digital all the tracks who were part of the history of our music genre, tracks which wer even not releasedon cds sometimes...they are VERY hardto find and i amsure that MANY people who were going to parties in that time, 10 years ago, wouldlove to ear again this tunes from the past  ...

oh, i forgot to mention...
The site isvery new and i still didn t make ANY promotion about it, because i need first the artists or the labels to upload their music there..it will take few weeks...but then i will begin massive promotion...everywhere i will play people will ear about this...but first....upload |

well, about the illegal characters....i can't do anything...come on....if you register to upload music, and if your name here is your project name too, then, yes, we have a problem...and i am not sure that we will be abble to change this...oranyway, not in the near future...sorry about it...
but if you want to register to buy or to sell the music of your favorite artists through our affiliate program, then, it would not be a big deal to change your user name
about cytopia, i didn t know itsoi have just checked...we don't do the same thing...firstof all, they aredoingalso psytrance and progressive , it is true, but not DIRECTLY FROM THE ARTIST...on trancepool, it isthe artistwho upload his own tracks, the artist who decide the price and the artistwho manage his own page...soit is different from this point of view...
Second, here isa sample of their contract : "The earnings are dependant on the price, top earnings for artists is 60% at highest track price, as track price declines so do earnings, and this is to ensure Cytopia earns enough even if artists decide on low pricing for promotional reasons."....well, in trancepool.com, there is no diference between anyone orany price... you get 70% of the price (without taxes) whatever is the price of your track...you can put even 20cts of euros....
AND, beside this, once again, we innovate in two points :
1st : the artistcan through our viral widget player sell directly from his myspace page, or facebook, or any webpage on internet...and still get the 70%.
2nd : Through our affiliate program, everybodycan make a selection, generate a player on his account, and begin to sell the music of somebody else...and get a 20% commission on the sells, while the artist will still get the other 50%...
So as you see, our system is unique...the only place where you can find it is www.digitaldeejay.com , who is the other site of my friend who owns the system itself...and this guy, javier de galloy, is the guy with who i began talamasca twelve years ago when we were three people...and that s why i could have exactly the same deal than on his other website for all the trance artists...i askedhim to make a trance website with the same system, and he accepted...i really trust in this system, if not i would not lose my time to run a website, i would have just used it for my label...but it is so good that i've decided to share it with all the other producers who have their tracks sold here and there without any permissions !!!!
I will come here quite often to answer any of your question about it...

I seem to be having problems streaming the tracks, they all play at double speed.I checked with both firefox & internet explorer, does anyone else have this problem?

Yes, to be honnest, i had this problem too, and i spoke yesterday with another musician who have i also...so can i ask you something....Do you have a RME fireface for sound card ? if yes, it seems that it is coming from this card...the sample rate of it goes sometimes witout any explanations to 128000 Hz when i work...and this should be the reason....
Anyway, wht i do now...i just installed the new realplayer, which allowed you to download anything that you can ear or see on internet...so i download the demos versions from the player and listen to them in windows media player...

If you really know another webite who does the same thing, than please let me know, i am very curious to see what others websites are proposing, because if fr any reason they can give more than 70%, i want to know HOW !!?!! Because i don' t takeany commission on the sells ofothers, my goal is clearly to propose the best service, and the best prices to the artists, first because i am one of them, second because I want this website to become the trance leader web site...and if it does, selling my music there would be enough for me...
beside this, and i know i repeat myself, but this s important because it is the concept, I want people to know that it is directly from the artist or the label that they will buy, not any company who is not connected at all with our music...and s you mentionned, there is no website dedicated to trance...and this is the MAIN thing....it is pain in the ass to find a track you want in the "BIG" sites of mp3...i hope it will be easier there
For now, MANY artists told me that they were very interested by the concept, but the are afraid that the labels where they once released their tracks have the rights....to them , let me explain some basic rules :
IF :
1 - ANY subject in the contract were not respected by the label (no money, no statements...advance money promised but not paid....etc...)
2 - THERE WAS NO REAL CONTRACT (it still happens toooo often in trance !!! pffffff !!!)
3 - the contract specify ONLY cd's and vinyls (it is mostly the case for all contracts made before 2002...)
THEN :
YOU OWN THE RIGHTS OF YOUR TRACKS !!!!
and most of those labels who haven't respected the contract, or who never showed you any money, (labels that i don't want to name here, but i know there are a lot, and some of them are "famous" ...) are selling your music and get money every month from it , on beat port or through companies like ingrooves (and i named those two ones because they are really professionnal and do their job well...)
So if you think that you can sell your tracks by yourself, and you are afraid of the label (with who you are not in good terms anymore ...) who released the tracks monthes or years ago...then think....what will happen ? pffff.....nothing !!!
If you are happy with yourlabel, then it is a good label...and let it do...if not, just sell your music ! it is YOUR music ! come on!!
Beside this, you can ver legally sell your music EVEN if one label owns the rights, as long as you pay to this label his pourcentage...most of the labels will accept because anyway, it is better to be EVERYWHERE !!!
