Sorry to dissapoint you but the best psy trance existed when there was no internet or when internet was known to a very very very few people and it was just used for communication since the ancient pstn lines didnt allow any files exchange bigger than 5mb and apart that things like Napster and Audiogalaxy didnt existed yet.
I really miss those old good times when i was getting informed about the new releases from few selected sites on the net and i rushed to my local record store to check them out along with many many other people and buy whatever i liked in its original form.
That was a time when music was really appreciated and good albums had a big value unlike today that albums worth just some megabytes among our terrabytes music collection on our hard drives.

What i meant was psytrance wouldnt be that big, (not that its very big right now) and known to very few people. which is as good as not existing at all. You cant discount the role of the internet in popularizing the genre. Be it trading , sharing music secrets , pirated softwares etc
