...it would probably have sounded something like this.

So I made this really weird remix of Bachs Air, and because its unlike anything I have ever made, Im looking for any feedback, especially regarding the mix (not having a strong beat changes everything...)

Well, here it is "Bach on Crack (Back on Crack Remix)" - and thanks to Klippel for coming up with that awesome title!

i could see this track being played on an acid soaked chill out area.. or a funeral.

Thanks guys

I know this is some weird shit that doesnt really belong on trance forum, but I`m just letting inspiration flow and I do what comes naturally. Ever since I stopped trying to make proper trance and started to do what I felt like music is coming a lot faster and I think it is better as well, and I`m glad someone else can also feel the vibe           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch

put this on for breakfast, my girlfriend says it evokes images of a bunch of wretched slaves in the undergalley of a ship being forced to work by a slave driver who's cracking the whip on their backs on a ship that is sinking like the titanic, taking them to their miserable deaths

And thanks kabbalisticvillage, I`m glad you like it!

BTW,I just uploaded a new version to the link above in the first post, I just changed a few minor things in the mix. I consider this track finished now

Do you mean those operatic singing bits that are flying through the background? If so this is how I did it:

I went on Youtube looking for an acapella clip of someone singing in an alt voice (that`s the low female voice in classical singing, below soprano). I downloaded one clip and cut out bits and pieces, and then I pitch shifted them in Cubase to fit with the notes of the melody. I pitch shifted them by a lot on purpose, that makes them sound more eerie and broken.

Then I put a bitcrusher on the voice samples and put them a deep reverb space and moved the panning around at random. So there`s no delay at all actually, the deep reverb makes it sound delayed.

And if you mean the laughing children, I used the same process, except I looked for laughing children instead of alt voices and I did not pitch shift them.

I hope that helps!           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch
