Hi, I'm going to dedicate myself to producing music and I'm thinking about buying Komplete 5 + Kore 2 to use with Cubase, I think that i also need a MIDI KEYBOARD, what should i get???
I believe the KORE 2 controller can already be used to tweak the NATIVE INSTRUMENTS synhts so what i really need is a keyboard right?
I have been thinking about the Novation Remote SL 61, what do you think?
And what about the new Novation Remote SL COMPACT keyboards??? http://www.novationmusic.com/product.asp?id=36&Type=1&bArchive=
Or maybe another keyboard?
Please help, i never touched a midi keyboard eheh
thanks all |

Ath this time I recommend novation Remote series.
No more manual controller assignments, all automatic
They have full text displays and automaticaly assign knobs and buttons to ANY plugin you use and then display fulltext for each knob.
They also have transport keys (play, stop)...
I think they are well worth the money. either one of these or any cheap stuff. inbetween nothing is worth the money in my eyes.

I am now thinking about buying the Remote 61 SL, found it for 540 euros wich is a good price for that keyboard!
After buying this midi keyboard maybe i should wait and think about kore, I've been told that this keyboard could do what the kore 2 controller does, because Novation Remote has MIDI learn and i can also control kore. |

if you don't need the weighted key you might consider to buy the remote zero (no keys - 300Euros) plus a behringer or maudio 61keys controller keyboard which go for about 150 euro. then you are about 90Euro cheaper...
but 90 euros for the weighted keys and all in one is good.
I don't know very well about kore 2. it will certainly be even more confortable with NI synths.. but its worth to go for the remote first and see if you are happy.

Does the Remote sl keyboard have a good control over absynth and fm8?
If i later buy Kore 2 won't it be a conflit, or easy to set up and use both? |

All the "Remote" series from novation will setup a so called "automap server" the novation software will scan all plugins the first time you start your sequenzer. once it is done every plugin will show up as for example: "FM8 - Automap" in the list which means that automap server knows the parameters of the plugin. Once the plugin is opened it will have a new button in the bottom "automap" once you press that button the controller will adjust for that plugin. the knobs, buttons and sliders will be assigned automaticaly and the displays will show you which knob, slider or button is assigned to which parameter. if you are not happy with it you can still change it.
Once you open another plugin and want it on the controller, just push the automap button on that plugin and the controller switches, and so on.
Since you can always open the automap or the normal version of the pluging Im quite sure (but don't now for sure) that it will have no conflict with KORE. Anywa several midi controllerd have never been a problem here, with cubase at least.

Do you think its worth getting a Remote SL 37 if you've already got a Polar TI?

Yes and you could keep the Polar TI for aesthetic purposes or perhaps a book stop or paper weight. |

I wouldn't get a remote sl with keyboard if I already had one which was enough for me... but if the polar keyboard is too small for you, then it is for sure worth it.
if I had the polar and was happy with the keyboard, I would buy the remote zero sl (no keys). its 200 bugs cheaper.
But it really depends on if you want more keyboad.
