Ideal mixer for live set?

Just tryin to get some info on mixers for live sets swhat about powered mixers vs regular whats the difference? brands, any to stay away from? what about usb or firewire? any other useful info would be good.

Powerede mixers have a built in amplifier for big speakers, regular mixers don't. Go for a regular, they are usually less noisy.

what about other mackie products? what makes the onyx better in your opinion

Better pre-amps, better eq, option to add firewire card, direct outputs on every channel...need i say more?
