I've got this strangest bug. once I try to open ICQ it just eats more than 300MB of RAM and just get stucked till I close it. anyone else encountered this? I don't want to reinstall ICQ.
sorry if it's a little bit offtopic but hey - ICQ is a great way to communicate with other music creators, right? ;)

I would suggest you backup your contact list and re-install icq. no way it's eating 300 MB ram. somthing is screwed there... |

the most stable version of ICQ was way before ICQ2000 :)
just gets worse every time.
and maybe it's one of the microsoft "re-engineered compatibility" issues about software which isn't theirs. |

heh i suggest u read the thread where i explained to Mike A how to find problems in windows. http://www.isratrance.com/cgi-bin/boardnew//YaBB.pl?board=Equipmentandmusiccreation&action=display&num=4306 Before reinstalling/doing anything u need to know what's going on and that's my point!
p.s. Assaf, about stable versions...i don't think so at all, as long as it's more advanced/improved, it's performance is getting better |

it used to take less resources, and I only use the online messages anyways, none of the phone and other applications anyways. for all I care, if they weren't there, it would run faster, be more stable, take less resources, and less space on my hdd.
that's my opinion though. |
