Are there any details for the party in the south please.
thanks

When arriving at Lisbon, ask for the area of Jardim do Tabaco (near Tejo river), and Club Lua its in a warehouse close to the river, if you ask for directions there, its easy to find.

c u there

Hi Guys,
it was very nice to be in Portugal and play at these events. Approximately 700 people came to the first club night in Lisbon but unfortunately there was problems with the sound system, which didnt sound that well. And the airconditioning was not very good so it became very hot. Anyways i had an amazing funny night, which i enjoyed very much.

The second night in Porto was in the fantastic and very beautiful hard club. Very nice soundsystem and very nice souroundings. Unfortunately the police closed the place in the beginning of my set, so that the party ended before it was supposed to. A shame because it was a really beautiful sunny morning.

I would like to thank Positivo Eventos and the crews for putting this together. Both Hayden (Antix), Emok and I had a nice time..Hope to see you again in Portugal, in the time to come.

hi Banel

Nice to have you iboga guys as always.
Nice to have you playing here as well, it was about time.
My impression is similar to your's.
Great line up, impressive tracks but the soundsystem was not corresponding.
It was the "local" soundsystem, that works (i guess) for the other type of parties held there at CLub Lua like, hip-hop, Drum/Bass, dub, reagge etc..
But definetly not enough for demanding dance music.
I felt like the whole soundsystem was way too medium frequencies oriented.
Of course dance music works more the low and some high frequencies.
To solve the lack of those freq. they just popped to max. level causing what everyone experienced.
Shame for that.

My advise to the organisers is to put your eyes on the guys who organised the Noiseshaper event the day after Iboga Label Night in Club Lua.

They had the concern to add more 8k of Mackie soundsystem adding on the original Lua speaker.
The result is that they did not need to put the level so high, and the whole event was spectacular, i was there the next day and its beyond comparison.
I have some friends who live in Lisbon, that went straight to Porto beacause they were already predicting the "Club Lua sound issue" (wise people).

So keep that in mind when organizing the Liquid Soul and Ryan Halifax event in Lua next month.

About the lack of airconditioning, i mean, that's just irresponsible.
I bet the owner thinks, " who cares, it cuts my expenses on electricity, and puts more people drinking", that's the way he see's it.

At 4 a.m. the lack of oxigen is dangerouse for dancing people health.
The whole place felt like a "big bad sauna" (good name for a track btw).
When i eventualy was forced to go out for some air, i almost got ill due to diference in temperature.

Dispiste that, i had a great time, and enjoyed the party with beautiful people, and superb line up, good music, but felt it deserved better conditions.
Hope to see you back soon.
cheers

Indeed my friend Spasm (hehe)
you are absolutly right..great music and really nice people..
i think the Antix live was a bit too short and perhaps due to the sound problems they had, but i noticed Hayden putting his hands on his head wondering "what's going on here?" if I'm not wrong Antix didnt play more than 50 minutes but it was good while it lasted (the last track was simply amazing)

Now my favourite dj set in Lisbon was Banel's..great music choice and great technique..I was really surprised cause it was his first time here and I didnt know what to expect..keep it up my congratulations to you Banel

As to the Lua problems, this wasnt the first time and i bet it wont be the last one..it's a nice place, usually attracts nice people, but the sound system and the airconditioning are serious problems for the owners/organizers to think about..
