The trance scene in Ibiza is now centred around indoor parties at the village of San Carlos, Sunday and Wed nights with Tribe of the Frog and others. The polizie have really become total khunts and closed down reallly cool outdoor chill spots like Kumharas (run by trancers) because they dont have an outdoor music license, basically this has left a bad vibe last season anyway. It seems this community has been increasingly persecuted and harassed, its a long running battle it seems.
Apparently there is still small outdoor trance parties happening, but they are very very underground, they don't like outsiders or visitors there (so I am told its all a mystery since its so secretive and I could never hook up to go to one although came across many of the party spots)
I met a french girl at the Origin festival last weekend who is living there, got her email address elsewhere, will fwd it to you. |

if you turn left from the airport, drive 2 km, then turn right after the little stones with black spots. then turn left by the tree with the funny roots. stop for a minute, then go backwards 45 steps, dig a little hole, then bury your head in it during the new moon...... you WILL become enlightened! (for 5 seconds) but its still cool...

Very funny Vatos, tho' the island has been known to induce such mini-satoris every now and then
In all, you gotta be connected on ibiza to find the parties, especially in winter. I hear there will be more regular psy nights happening at Priviledge club this summer - as cheesy as it sounds - the soundsystem there is kick-ass!
Also check into www.psyconnection.com every now and then (hasnt been updated for a while but will be for summer) - they have some interesting projects in the pipeline...
If youre looking for party info, go to San Juan and hang about ECO and Cafe Vista Alegre and grab the nearest dread or om-shirted german about...
