I guess it is about those that have power, and have money from this scene and from their point of view it's the goal, to milk the scene for more money - by making factory of cheap imitations for great artists, knowing that it is for sure working on the floor, and I wont go any further cuz names will have to follow.. In any case they know who they are and they dont give a rotten f#$%
Yeah man most of the scene is pretty crappy, most of it done purely for money, and most of it forgot or never knew how a good vibe looks like, cuz the consumers of THAT music are either overdozed teenagers or convicted criminals on their vacation from jail. There are also good folk that like that music ofcourse but somehow they are very not dominant.
So ND has a point in what he says - unfortunately it's a waste of time to say it

Yes it absolutely does. In their search for a market, some labels seem to be giving up their role as quality controllers, leaving us, the listeners, to do their job for them. Bear in mind that if we as consumers of psytrance want to direct the market in the direction of higher quality then it's up to us to only buy music we think is good.

Lock this topic and bring it back in a couple of years when this scene will have collapsed due to whats taking place today with no point labels popping up every day and flooding the market in order to support these wannabe artists who are willing to give their so called music away for free just to see their name printed on a cd and show it off to their friends and ugly girlfriends.

Well, I agree with ProSect on several of his points. This one in particular :
"Label managers that use their label status for booking themselves and not taking care about their artists."
This happens a lot ...
And TrippyJohnny had a good point. Artists don't want to discuss issues like this in public, in fear of losing gigs/releases. But since I got only one gig this summer, I don't think it will hurt me much

Sucky scene, let's change it, "influentive" people shut their mouth and hope for luck, the scene goes to dump. But why me? I will lose my gig and Megashiva Records will not sign my forced art.
