I have some friends in aarhus that i havent visited for a while, so i should get my ass to denmark soon. But economy is a bit tight these days, have to sell my boat, so when thats done i'll have some cash hopefully, if not everything goes to unpaid bills:-(

About the soundcard, if you are gonna record stuff you might wanna invest in a decent card, but if you are just gonna use Vst's then i would rather by some good monitors first (if you can borrow your friends soundcard).

The RME fireface 400 seems like a very decent soundcard, it has excelent user reviews. dont know how much money you are willing to spend though.

I'd go for the XPS no doubt.

Also, call dell to buy the unit, instead of buying it online. A friend of mine did that, and he was able to get 100's of euro's off the price (he got 1Gb of RAM for free, a better harddrive for no extra cost, etc...). This is common practice at dell, their phone operators are allowed to give you all kinds of cuts on the price. Ofcourse, you can't just ask them to cut the price, you have to push them a little (i would like to buy it with 2Gb of ram, but it's too expensive for me, what can you do? that kind of questions).

About the soundcard - it all depends on how much money you have.

Fregle - I work at Dell, and I'm the one you talk to if you want deals like that, and believe me. It isn’t a common practice anymore. It used to be like that, but no more. At least in the Nordic Region. You see, these offers displayed on page one are the only configuration ect I can choose from because of a "PC Home Agreement". .. hush, but can you believe it. I sell computers like a mad man, but I know nothing about computers, lol. That’s also the reason why I'm asking you people about advice. But anyway, thanks for the inside tip Fregleman

Mike A, of course
