Psycraft last album sounded to me very reasonable.
Although i don't think they sequenced with it.
Everyone in the world is doing something without me |

Prodigy's main man Liam did go berzerk over "finding the light" with Reason. There was a big article in some magazine, where he praised Reason for being his new source of inspiration, and that he practically ditched all his analog equipment, and moved on to newer and better digital toys.
On the other hand, we all know what "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned" sounds like...
poor Liam... |

hell no !!!!
but if propellerheads want to throw bags of money my way like they did with the prodigy i will say that reason is the best program in the world !
'yeah i've ditched my protools HD/3 system, SSL 56 channel console, racks of outboard and akai S-6000's for the superior sound of reason'
but seriously... i think shift uses reason for generating sounds but mixes them in cubase SX...
its good for drums i find with rex player being good for chopping up loops maybe the prodigy use it for this but im sure most good VST'i synths or hardware synths can get a nicer sound than reason ones... |

as i heared like what Samorai said, Liam has just
found the light with reason.
he used this old akai mpc samler sequencer for
a long time for making music.
after he made the legendary 'fat of the land' he said
that he has no new ideas or something like that...
he spent lots of hours on the studio but he made
nothing good,
he said that when he tried reason it 'opened the
light' to him because its so fast and easy to use
program and thats the way he used to work with
the mpc... everything is so fast and smooth and this
way the flow of your music much better...
thats what gave him the push to make the new
album... its not fully made on reason,
but i still beleive its only a publicity issue...
like BT uses m-audio monitors..
i dont really beleive so..
sure not for the mastering
however, the album was mastered by Emily Lazar
in the at The Lodge in New York instead of his
usual choice of The Exchange in London.
Among the gear commonly used by Lazar are
products from Avalon Design, Pultec, TC Electronic, Tube-Tech, Weiss and Z-Systems.
well i guess with this equipment you can reach
amazing sound even for a tune made on impulse hu..
