Bob Katz uses Waves REQ in his mastering.

It's all about the ears, with the tools used coming a close second.

PROCESSING. [plug-ins, vst, eq, compressors, limiters]
ON.
MASTER.
CHANNEL,

before you make a mixdown and upload the track. Don't care about the loudness of your track, i know how to raise it up.

LOL welcome to the wonderful world of the psytrance mastering engineer. I've just done a V/A where 6 out of 8 tracks was out-of-spec in some way, several had been limited and one had been full-on stomped on with Ozone (I know this cos it was in the filename). Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and make that sow's ear feel as silky as you can.

Medea - can you upload some before and after clips so we can all hear the kind of thing you're doing? As you know there are plenty of websites where you can host mp3 files for free - http://www.yourfilehost.com/ seems like a good one.
