I Want To Do A Ramix To a Vary Good Track But Waht i need to do to get a promition From the Artist and waht i need to do ??
Plz Hallp me I Don't Know Waht To Do ...

i think you have three options
1) simply listen to the track, make your own remix by reproducing some of the instruments and adding your own, transcribing some melody/harmony parts and adding your own. and keep the track at home, you won't need a permission for that.
2) if you want to really make a remix for other than private use, you'll have to arrange that with the original artist. here, you will need to first work yourself some respect from the other artist, show em that you're able to write/produce good music. the interest in remixing should not be motivated by the idea of getting the midi/notes parts and audio samples and stuf... but to make an own track interpretation out of respect for the other tune
3) make own music and leave the idea for now.

ok .. firstly . to do a proper remix .. not just sampling bits of someone elses music . u would need access to the persons project file .. cpr , flp etc , depending on what the music was made on .. for this obviously u wud need permission .. complicated and highly unlikely that anyone wud just hand u their project to tweak .. best option for u is to get a cd of watever u want to `remix` . open , chop and cut some parts in wavelab , soundforge etc .. then sample it in ur mix .. also u could try and reproduce similar or same sounding riffs , bassline , percussion etc as the track ur `remixing` ..
out of curiosity .. wich great artists masterpiece do u wana tweak anyway ? |
