I practically gave up as well, I'm not DJing trance anymore.

as a DJ I don't relate to full on not even to the lighter full on stuff like dickster or lish, it's not that i don't like to listen to it, but it's not what i want to play. and there is no other trance in israel, at least not for local DJ's.
I'm not as big a name as atmos that i can play prog trance (UK, not ticon and the boys) or psychedelic techno at a trance party and noone says a word.

im glad i live in belgium then, a few years ago also only full on was allowed here, now still alot of full on but i always had kinda my own style and people started appreciating after a while and now get alot of respect from them, never adjusted to the full on thingy...and in fact i get most of all compliments when i do the old school thingy here, old matsuri stuff, some of the australian magic psy from the 90s and such
dont give up cos of the sheep....be the sheperd to lead the sheep to a better place

and i realy loved your set form time to time

Hope you find your place soon Borris...I'm sure with your experience and expertise you'll find a way....it's never easy to a pioneer in a new field, but then again, once you manage....ur gonna get so much satisfaction for believing in ur instincts. I wish you all the luck and house is not my thing, but techno for me it all started with back in the days of '91 !!! Detroit stuff like Richie Hawtin, Underground Resistance...and I still got 'em and play 'em for myself once in a while...or go to a good set of James Rushkin/Ken Ishi/Jeff Mills or other heroes in that field....good luck with it amigo !!

hi man..
understand you in that topic...
as i in the past play for more than 6 years tech-trance music and felt the "gave up feeling" from that scene and from than i make/play dub-chil-reggae.
but i can promise you that:it's not the scene that change you--it is you that change scene...
so if you still like this music-continue play it good as you can and play other style also for your funn man..
i wish you my best wherever you choose

sorry for u
but as matter of fact the truth is that "full on" (whatever u call it) is the favor style on the dancefloor because it is (usually) reach with great melodies, professional artists usually make this style and this make it even more enjoyable and it makes people move like there is no tomorrow.
there is nothing better on the dancefloor that make people dance like that compared to full on!
I love it!
I don't get why u don't like spin kind of music... --> ?

almost forgot to say
at party I like to hear everything: minimal, dark, a bit tech
but no matter what, if there is no full on psytrance in that party, I will be very disappointed!
because this is the real psytrance that let me feel those crazy feelings of passion and so... |
