well about cosma, i think he was going more towards the full on and commercialism- (still in his way) but nevertheless thats where he was headed..... there is a big change from the 1st to 2nd album and i beleive that was his direction, he was after all Hommega.

Yes. There is a big change between the 2 albums. But still, his full on was one of a kind, and far from being typical.

I miss Cosma too. Sometimes when I listen to his music, the vaguely mournful sound it has and I feel like it is a subconscious premonition of his own death. I know it sounds wierd but I really do feel that off his music sometimes. May he rest in peace.

There really is something special about his music...

I remember when i read about it in the news paper , I was at a Naval Base in Haifa.
I even got the original article here somewhere, my girlfriend those days cut it and saved it for me, when she came to visit me at the base she brought it with her and asked me if i knew about this...

His music was different, it had another dimension... i can't put my finger on it, but it's there...
I like Trance, so i am called The TrancEisT. but hey... what about people who like Rap? what are they called?

I agree!
in the second album he was getting more comercial(hommega). But the first album is a milestone in trance history for me! His music for me was, like said before, Holy in a certain way. Definitly very special!

I think maybe you're reading far too much into this. Anyway, Cosma was (in his field) a good artist perhaps, but it still was a matter of taste. I never quite cared for his music myself. I find most of his tracks to be pretty standard stuff and not at all 'special' like some people say here. All the respect to the people who truly mean it and stand behind what they're saying 100% but I personally think that it's funny there are a lot of people who started hyping him after he died.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. His music was far from standard.

maybe you should listen to his album 'simplicity' one more time.

too bad you were not able to enjoy his music the way many people did....

You missed out

No I didn't. I listened to his music and didn't find it to be all that special. It's a matter of taste, but I'm sure you understand that. You're just getting over emotional because the guy's dead. That he died tragically doesn't mean I have to like his music. See, I really liked Zolod's music (Terminator) but I don't read too much into that either. It's just my personal opinion that some people here are hyping Cosma AFTER he died. When he was still alive he didn't have that many fans. It's the Elvis principle.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

it really is a matter of taste - and im not a big fan of that kind of music, but being perfectly honest and after listening to both his albums alot lately - i must agree with what most of the people here are saying - he did have a special kind of atmosphere and feeling to his music - something you just dont get from 95% of the music produced nowdays and i think that might be the reason hes getting even more hyped since his death - the simple fact that most of todays artists just dont create that kind of feeling and atmosphere anymore

I'm all depressed, and thinking that Cosma is no more with us makes me more depressed. I think that Cosma was one hell of an artist, extremly sensitive, and his music is a true reflection of his emotions! I have not found any other artist who can deliver such sensations with his music. if you do know any, please tell me!

Acidhive, i agree with you.
Cosma was really really good, but his music is standard to me. i dont see all the magic you guys are talking about, but maybe its just me...
and after someone dies, they always get more respect and love.
and its a shame that people couldnt support him in life, support and love him in life, instead of praising his passing away as a legend.
that being said, he is good.
btw, im sorry for sounding dumb but, how did he die?           Love is Life

I think that the reason that Avihen's music got so much good reviews, is because he fell exactly in the so called "empty spot" between different genres, and done so with a lot of charisma and style. He was extremely talented artist, which derived also from the fact he had a lot of "wisdom" or call it deepness to his person. I wrote a collab with him, and while working I felt that from the very first minute - it's definitely a gift and very few get this gift.

Ofcourse his death made his epic music even more mysterious and interesting for the listeners, but I think that the reason it's still so fresh, because no one can really copy it, cuz it's secret is in it's atmosphere ( Cosma was a genious of atmospheric creation imho ), and atmosphere is very hard to copy if at all.

About if he would get into commercial full on or not.. I think he would do here and there, but as far as I remember his plans for next album were to stop with trance and go downtempo, which he already started making.           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman
