It's time to move on to the next step in the psychedelic revolution. We've reached a certain point, but we're not moving any more.

Call it laziness if you like, or market research, but I was wondering what you guys would class as being your favourite tunes to hear in a chillout environment?
For me at the moment, my top five are:
1. Next To Nothing - Fatboy Slim (the most non fatboy slim like record he has ever done)
2. Kinobe - Planet Soup (Great samples, and a closing string section to die for)
3. Pepe Deluxe - Woman In Black (Nina Simone vocal, gorgeous drum programming, and the saddest cello you will ever hear in a dance track)
4. Lemon Jelly - Soft (samples If You Leave Me Now by Chicago, and turns 70s MOR cheese balladry into a thing of rare beauty)
5. Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want - The Smiths (it fits in perfectly after Lemon Jelly - Soft, is a real eye opener, and shows folks younger than us how lucky we were to have The Smiths as an expression of our teenage angst)
Over to you!

theres couple of "top tracks" threads here, you can look there, but anyway, just some random beautiful tracks/songs i like to listen to:
Ishq- bhakti
porcupine tree - trains
Kuba - trustafari
abakus - highwalker
the smiths - there is a light that never goes out
blue states - metro sound
and although its not chillout, i really recommend the album "deserters songs" by Mercury Rev. puts you in a diffrent mood in seconds.
Life is too short to eliminate all risks. |

The last 2 cds I bought (this month) are:
Artist: pole
Album: steingarten
Label: http://www.scape-music.com/
very good as most of the releases of this label (actually one of my favourite).I have been a big fan of this label since their first release and I believe I own almost everything they released.
Artist:BO MARLEY vs. disrupt LP
Label:http://jahtari.org
One of the best digital dub label out there, and if you are into this genre you wont be disappointed by this release.
On both website you can preview samples .
